Thread: Secondary stats....whats the purpose?
Strength - Affects how much health you burn when you do special moves.
Constitution - Affects how fast your health pool regenerates.
Action
Quickness - Affects how much action you burn when doing special moves.
Stamina - Affects how fast your action pool regenerates.
Mind
Focus - Affects how much mind you burn doing special moves.
Willpower - Affects how fast your mind pool regenerates.

That being said, in my opinion the secondary stats can be more important that the main pool. I find that when I buff people's secondaries they regenerate so fast and use so little that their main pools never even go down. (excpet due to taking large amounts of damage in fights)
This is especially apparent when I play my dancer. If she drinks a Tatooine Sunburn which gives her another 1500 or so stamina, she can dance continually with all flourishes and lights without her action bar ever going down. This is with no buff to the action pool amount or the quickness.
Hope this helps.
The poster above is correct as a doctor / carbineer I love buffing my secondaries because stamina determines how quickly you regen action pool and quickness governs how much action you use doing a special. Strength & Constitution do the same for the health bar of course which would be more helpful to pistoleers and some melee per se.
Basically with my enhance C buffs so far I can go heavy on the carbine specials hunting without fear of killing myself doing it.
Cheers!
I understand that willpower makes the mind bar recharge faster, but what does focus do? Or strenght or quickness for that matter.
Im a pistoleer/doc and my mind stats are 700/400/730. Should they be diffrent?
One set affects regen, while the other set affects cost of skill usage. If you haveartisan, you can see this with/sample. /sample without a buff and see how much action it uses. Then buff yourquickness (I think quickness is usage) and /sample again.
In general as a doctor you want to max out all 3 mind stats.
