Hey guys I have one problem and one question about the surgical droid.

My problem is I can't seem to rename my droid to anything. I heard somewhere that it's the Devs fault with something they did in the last patch, is that true?

Now my question is I have this surgical droid with a lvl 5 medical unit in it. How do I get the droid to heal me? Do I need to learn medical skills in order to even use the guy? Finally what's the difference between a surgical droid and a medical droid. I was under the impression that a surgical droid would heal your wounds even if you didn't have medical skills. If someone could please clear this up I would appreciate it.

1.all humanioid droids cant be named

2. You can put a med module in a mouse same effect

3. It just a mobile med center. You must be the one to heal. Otherwisemedics would be pretty useless.

I am assuming that you bought a Surgical droid (2-1B style chassis). That would explain why you can't rename your droid. There are several droids that have never accepted names from the beginning - those being LE Repair Droids, Protocol Droids, and Surgical 2-1B droids. It wasn't just the last patch.

The answer to your question is 'yes', you must be medically trained get any usefulness out of your surgical droid. There is no difference between Surgical Droids and Medical Droids unless you are talking about the chassis type. You have a Surgical Droid Chassis. The medical capability comes from the modules put inside the droid - Surgical Droids can not heal automagically (though there is rumor that thy will someday be able to).

Hope that I cleared everything up- if not, let me know...

I have a weird bug with my Surgical Droid, and it just started which really ticks me off (it worked fine for 2 months). When I call the droid in areas I want to buff/heal, like around starports, it doesn't work! The game just says "Must be in Med Ctr, camp, or near surgicaldroid to work." The droid is not recognized. Anyone else have this problem? I received a CSR email that it's a "known bug and on the list to be fixed..be patient" but are they just BSing me???

Argghh!

Have the same problem and reported it twice during the last 3 weeks. Nobody answered my report

Will try to recharge the probot but I think I did it before and it did not change anything. Think I will buy a new one.

Have fun

The problem was they automaticly recharged on store, now it was fixed so now the charge value is saved and you have to start recharging them. Not a bug, though better charge times would be nice

I went out and got a droid with a best medical healing rating and a 10 item storage module. I keep a crate of droid batteries inside, so I always have batteries and it doesn't eat up what little remaining inventory space we have left.

Oh, on a related note, in addition to my droid with the medical module/item storage/crafting station, I also have 4 droids with 10 item storage modules. That gives me 50 extra storage and helps immensely to manage all the medicine/armor/weapons/etc I'm constantly carrying around.
