Thread: Question on curing poison. Please Answer this!
I'm getting so much different feedabck on this in-game it's getting very frustrating.
I'm a 2/2/0/1 novice doctor. I can't cure poison in the field! The thing is I talked to a number of Doctors on this, both low level and high level. I would of never asked if I hadn't noticed doctors curing poison(including myslelf) out in the field without the help of a surgical droid.
I asked a few docs around about it and this is where it got confusing as all hell. Some said "no" you can't cure poison unless you're in a cantina or have a droid out on the field with you. A few said this.
On the other hand, I had some doctors(including the ones I witnessed out on the field curing poison) tell me that cure poison is a "field skill". I'm totally lost...
My question is, can I cure poison out on the field without the need for a droid, or something else that I'm missing? What am I doing wrong? I can craft cure poison meds and I can use em while inside AH cantina or med center, but noton thefield. Not only can't I cure myself, but nor my teamates. I keep getting the "must be inside a cantina, hospital message".
On a personal note, poison is harsh to begin with. If the only way to cure poison out on the field is dragging a droid with you...that is just silly IMO. Not only
/curepoison and /curedisease are indeed field abilities. No need to be inside a hospital, cantina, camp or have a droid out to use cure packs.
You just need to have the requisite skills. And make sure you're using a curepack whose med use is equal to or below your current med use.
The most common mistake people make is trying to use Cure poison C, which are over 90 med use. Like Texxie said, find one with a medical use level you can use. I'm not sure what level Cure poison B is, but maybe try a Cure poison A out and see if that works.
Cure Poison As are around 51 med use
Cure Poison Bs are around 75 med use
I was one of those doctors u asked about the cure poison in game ...
the only things u will need for a doc to require a driod is either enhancing or healing wounds
poison,diesease,dizzy,blind is all curable with no driod..

Field Surgeon gives you cure disease. Two below that gives cure poison. Both are field skills and do not require a droid. If you were in a camp while doing this, try leaving/re-entering the camp. Sometimes they bug out and nothing seems to work. Other than that, just make sure you have the med use (which is the branch marked X here 00X0 in the doctor tree). Hope you get it working.
