Thread: Marrow: Doc buffs don't seem to be working as intended yet, do they?

The description for our advanced buffs say that they provide more power and duration, yet we only seem to be getting extra duration as a Master Doc and that seems to be down to our bots and +enhance stats if anything.

Can you poke the Devs when they get back tomorrow and get them to clarify this, please? I expect you've already mentioned it to them anyway.

Good Point. Let's keep floating this to the top.

I will bring this up tomorrow at Fan Fest.....But from my understanding buffs do get higher duration as you go up in level.

This isn't the "OMG 3hr buff" anymore, but I will ask tomorrow. I even wrote it down on my notebook.

The duration increases from 40 minutes to about 47 minutes, but the power is identical at Master Doc and Medic4000 for the health buff (for example)

The description does say that the advanced versions should provide greater power and duration

I've gotten my buffs up to 51 minutes using a droid, be clothes and bivoli and never more than the 10%.

I kinda halfway remember a post by Marrow where he got to ask the devs 3 questions about our profession and one of those concerned the crappiness of the buffs - and the basic answer he got back was "it's as intended". So, I'm thinking the devs don't care one iota about what was promised for buffs and what we ended up getting. Obviously no devs ever had docs at toons.

To answer the question, Buffs are not going to be stronger, only longer....so yes they are working as intended...sorry (Will post the full forum shortly)

Actually the improved version are working. The reason I say this is that the first tier buffs only buff you 5%. I still agree though that we need an improvement to them.

I can tell you that is probably not going to happen from the feed back we got from the devs at Fan Fest.

I'm typing up the hour conversation right now...so expect it here shortly. There is a lot of good info in it, and I'm trying my best to simplify what is being said so it is easier to read....hopefully I will be done within 20-30 minutes, and everyone will have a lot of good information about the profession.

I am prepared to concede on the entire buff issue provided that the rest of healing is dealt with. I really can let go of buffs- healing....no. Fix that right now.
