Or buffing?Sustaining life.

Or defense skillmods? Preservation of the Healer's life, which in turn allows them to continue healing others.

Healing is less than half of what a doctor can do, and that's what makes you a hybrid.

What does Force Sap have to do with healing or sustaining life? Nothing. It is the taking away of the life of others.

Healeris not a purely healing profession. Doctor is.

If everyone defines their own terms, the terms "hybrid" and "elite" are meaningless. It made sense to me -- for the context of SWG -- that it might be best to use SOE's definitions as a basis. See:

From that link, it clearly lists doctors as an "elite" profession, and combat medics as a "hybrid" profession.

The page is somewhat dated, but I don't see any compelling argument that the CU changed professions from one type to another (or not). It appeared to me that SOE defines a hybrid as a profession requiring two or more different novice boxes to complete, and an elite profession as requiring only one.

We should probably begin by developing criteria and a definition for Hybrid Profession. Have at it.

In my opinion a doctor is and should be a PURE healer.
