Thread: what do we know?
So far we know that the Holocron gives us 4 professions. We also know that we must master something else, a hidden profession, in order unlock the slot. But we have not found a pattern. Q said that sooner or later someone would discover the 'Formula' and it will be posted, because of this they made the system where it was 'changable'. He also said that anyone could unlock the slot but will take a casual player about a year to do so.
The Jedi board has ALOT of intelligent people in it. With everything that has been said, is it possible for us to find the formula? Or has the Slot changed so much since Q's post that there is no longer a formula out there anymore?
We keep on talking about the hidden profession, but isn't it kind of stupid to leave it at one hidden profession out of 32? Those are not good odds. They might as well have made it that you have to master all 32 professions before you can unlock the slot. Couldn't there be something else to it? something that we don't see. something that is so obvious that we're not paying attention to it?
Someone once said that they believed it to be apprentice experience. Could it be that you need to get a certain total of apprentice experience but not from one profession but from several types of professions, say 5 different types of professions? That's just an example of one of the things we don't pay attention to. I'm sure there are more things that we do not pay attention to. Can the brilliant minds on this forum come together and start suggesting things that we do not pay attention to and see if we can find something there?
I know this sounds weird, and I know the 4+1 has been accurate this entire time. But if it is a 'formula' as Q said, we shouldn't have to much trouble finding the answer if we open up to all of the possibilites. Perhaps something within the 4+1 like the AXP theory, or something else that we are not seeing. Please, a constructive post with idea's within the 4+1 that could lead to opening the FS Slot...Something that could have a forumla.
Common, I know you guys have idea's on this. Doesn't the silent holocron say something about following your own path or something like that? If we where to follow our own path that should mean that we could open it with the next profession we wish to master, doesn't it? Common, some idea's that lie within the 4+1, no matter how rediculous it might sound.

Ahh yes, thyroid rupture vs adrenal boost.
I definately notice the the action regen buffs, that plus chef and spice action regen goes a long way to letting you shoot more.
A Master Doc also can counter any Jedi abilities that mimic CM abilities (Force Sap is a mind / action regen debuff as far as I know, just buff mind / action regen and you will be at about the normal level).
A Doc cannot, however, counter pure Force attacks. If you get Force Choked, for example, youre out of luck.
CM's inflicting disease and Doc's curing disease (as well as buffing disease resists) is according to the skill trees a very valuable skill (compared with the posion/fire skills its the highest skills in the trees).
according to my observations diesease is broken atm.
i was heavily diseased by the sarlacc and couldnt notice any debuff-effect. the text from the state icon was still referring to pre-CU diseases "inflicting wounds". but i didnt get any wounds or bf-increase from it.
anyone know what disease is supposed to do post-cu?
i still get some people asking me (even paying me) to cure diseases. but from what i see its just a psychological problem now
