hey all i started up doctor after CU. yeah so i don't make much money at it. But it's fun. I'm the only doc in guild so my guildmates constantly want me in groups with them. Also we have several jedi in guild but none of them are healers. Cause they focus on other stuff. They have enough healing to keep themselves alive but they focus on other skills instead. I don't feel like i'm worthless or that there is no point in being a doc. I have fun with it. My teamates love the buff's i can give them and in a fight i just run around healing. Nobody cares if i fire a single shot at the enemy we are fighting they are just grateful for the heals that keep them alive. I'm not saying that things are perfect it's hard to solo medical xp i'm just saying it isnt' that bad. I'm a master bounty hunter as well so if i can't get a group i just do some missions for some cash that's how i make my money. Also i'll be waiting on a shuttle or something see someone with some wounds heal them up sometimes they tip sometimes they don't but more often then not i get a pleasent thank you and some good conversation for a few minutes. Just my experience and i'm having fun with it. What are other's opinions of post CU Doctor just curious.

I enjoy it! Everyone knows it's not perfect, but it's still very fun to play.

exactly it's not the same as it was before CU but i didn't play a doc then so i might not realize the difference as well as someone who has but i have alot of fun so that's the important part.

I enjoy it as well. As long as I can help I enjoy it. Pre-cu, I was a starport buffer and I enjoyed that as well because I liked the people I would meet and i could help a lot of other players enjoy the game. I originally wanted to be a combat medic but there was too much going on in battle for me to keep track of so I went the doctor route. After the CU I heal wounds and help noobs and lower level players gain xp by taking them out in small groups.

I'm rather enjoying my MDoc. I'm currently the only "living" Doctor in my guild that i know, so when i'm online and a raids going i'm pretty much guaranteed a spot as a Rezzer/Healer cause it seems all the old Doc's have retired cause of nerfage to healing/buffing since the CU. I combined my MDoc with MBH nad FS skills for the 190 Ranged Defense and 165 Melee Defense, a ranged KD, and various weapon dmg types to allow me to plink away at targets while my healing skills aren't needed. Combined with good Assault or Battle armor and food/spices i can withstanding getting aggro from healing quite well also. And in Jedi grind groups having me around to heal saves the Jedi's that are tanking Foce that would have been used to heal themselves making for longer more fluid xp grind groups.

Well I see a couple of things. First if I had spent all this money on buff packs and resources to make them, and facilities and what have you, I would be pretty damned pissed post CU. Lots of money down thedrain, and a prof that you had worked so hard on totally changed in ways you are not happy with. That being said....

I like being a doc. I like buffing, and healing and I enjoy some time in combat. I get so many people who say...."hard to find you a doc these days" That being said....

Yesterday I had a new player say to me "the have all these big medical centers around, and i sat in there and nothing happend". I think it is such a waste of what I think was a unique aspect of the game....being in a medical center and having it mean something....now they are just like an empty droid casing....just for show.
