A couple of days ago I tried to /revive a friend and the meter would go all the way up and nothing would happen. I tried several times with no luck. I also didn't have the option on my radial menu like I have in the past. This has now happened three different times. What am I doing wrong? The preson I'm trying to /revive doesn't have to be in my group, right? I also tried to /drag him but that didn't work either.

First make sure you are standing still and don't touch anything during the warmup timer. Next make sure you are factionally aligned. I assume that you were able to heal him up until the time he died. If this isn't the case then you defnitely can't rez him. Lastly, if your friend is a Jedi, he will need to give you consent every single time he dies before you can raise him. Revive isn't supposed to work every time you try it either. But you've probably tried a dozen times and it should have worked by then if it was going to at all. Keep us posted. (get it? 'posted'? this is a post ha ha)

I had this the other night while running with 2 groups through DWB. For me it ended up being Jedi status and Combatant vs On Leave status. Personally ok i can see the Jedi one sort of, but the On Leave vs Combatant status annoys the living hell out of me. Imo we should beable to heal and rezz anyone that isn't Spec Force/Jedi, especially being in PvE settings.

Yeah I forgot about that. The leave/combatant thing is a royal pain. I think you should be able to heal anyone in the galaxy actually. If you are the same faction it should just work naturally leave status aside. IMO if you heal an opposing faction member there should be a faction penalty that you have to accept first but it should still let you do it.

Well I was able to /revive today (was a different player than before) but we were grouped. Do you need to be grouped to /revive? I didn't think you did. I'm not sure what happened before. We were both civillan and he wasn't Jedi. I'll have to try it again. I can't wait until he dies

The devs are aware of issues with rezing and are working on it. Much of the issues stims form the client thinking one person is moving while the server does not (or some such thing).
It may take a few tries but I have always been able to rez assuming the faction status is correctly aligned.

there is a bug in revivng atm u can use in your favor.
if u start combat during warmup timer the timer goes to full and the rezz succeeds most of the time. i noticed that on a failed rez i heard an error sound (click), usualy near the end of the warmup timer. so i guess most of my rezzes succeeded because i didnt gave the warmup process the time to find a failure.
when i try to rez while in combat i have no warmup timer at all and had no failed tries at all so far (happened 3 or 4 times now).

A couple of players were dueling and one was killed by the other. I was not grouped with either player and tried to rez the corpse but got this message in my combat log " Name of Player(sorry i don't remember the name) is not grouped with you and has not given you consent". This player was not a jedi by the way. Just my experience. Yeah i found out about the jedi consent thing at the dwb by the time i had figured out the problem, i was dead too. But i was able to res someone else in our group who wasn't a jedi
before i was slain, hehe.

I heard a rumor that being on a hill may affect rezing (server thinks you're moving or some such nonsense). Try dragging to a flat place. It annoyed me greatly the other night when I accidentally sat down during my rez timer and was informed that I couldn't sit while rezing. Ah well, try again.

This was the same problem Riflemen had with Snipershot and Cover, try zooming to first person and pausing a couple of second before you start the warmup, that seems to force the client and server to re-sync.

In PvP, Docs used to sit beside Jedi on their sides, covert, and just heal them whilst unable to be damaged themselves. But I agree, the combatant/on leave thing is annoying. Who is it going to grieve, the NPCs?

If it's a client-server synch issue, maybe a visual emote (i.e. /wave) will force the synch as well. That was the sure-fire workaround for bike-warp before it was fixed.
