Wohoo We got a Master Doc in group....

Thats the reply i got when i joined a group today. Little did they know is, that there was little i could actually do for them. Im a master Doc | Rifleman. Today for the first time since CUi thought i would continue on my FS grind and join a group on Dant. In the time i was in the group, 90% of the heals were on myself. One shot with my rifle, agroed, heal myself. Let another attack first, heal and im agroed again.

Maybe i should have used todays /respec. I didnt. I have been a doc on this alt for a very long time. I have always enjoyed the profession. Lately its just been getting depressing.

Wound healing takes forever. Its that slow that im starting to turn people down from healing them due to the time involved.

Buffing in a group is pointless. The time it takes to buff a group of 8 compared to the time it runs out is a joke. One could spend their gaming exsperience buffing players over and over. Another thing i have stopped offering people.

In groups i spend more time healing myself than i do my group members. May as well leave the rifle at home because when thing are hot, i dont get a chance to use it.

So whats left for one to do in the doc profession????

It has been confirmed by dev-speak that

the Hate will be "fixed", hopefully 1/2 what it is now. That would be nice. Though I just finished TKM, and it is actually useful, as it makes for an awsome taunt.

The wound healing should see some improvement, it is a joke right now.

Go buy some enhancers, they will increase the buffs durations. Get em high valued of course. And no need to buff the entire group, Long Range Hitters really don't need health buff for instance..just some action really.

Your all set now, have a nice day.

I'm a Master Pikes/Master Doc, and I find that healing and my Taunt allows me to be a fairly good tank for my group. (Don't even wear armor, sometimes! lol)

I absolutely agree with Tigrayne on the wound-healing. It's sad that I sit there for 5 minutes getting rid of a 50% black bar, but I do it anyway, and will continue to do so. Eclipse needs more Doctors who think of the Community first, and I'm one of them!

I think things are great as TKM/MDoc. The fact that you catch a bunch of aggro helps you do your job in a group as the tank. Plus it takes the stress of healing others off of me - it's easy to remember when to heal myself. Plus my body is always within healing range of my hands. In addition to the fact that each doctor box now gives you +5 of either ranged or melee defense. I think the CU has been pretty good for MD/TKM.

Agreed. Pike-Doc here.

Wound heals need a massive boost though, at MD. I had some great 200 power wound heal Bs pre CU, I miss being able to 1 shot heal wounds...

The 600 power ones were fun. "3000 wounds?" *boom* Gone in one shot.

Now. 3000 wounds?

30 ... 32 .. 28 ... 35 ... 31 ... 42 ... 50 ...

actually, if you time it right, you have just enough time to set the heal macro going, run to the kitchen, nuke a Hot Pocket, and make it back to the computer in time to watch the last few wounds heal.

Just my luck I'd come back and be dead since I'm always SF. I've actually had to bolt in the middle of wound healing 'cause a Red pops up next to me and I'm like $)@#!

I find that healing the group tends to get me incapped PDQ. Too much agro for my liking. CM's get it even bad, I respecced to CM rifles and respeccd out 12 hours later. I spent the last phase 4 in the village trying not to die between reviving other players, btw that takes too long IMHO. When you got a bunch of ranged NPC's shooting at you things get way too hairy

Still all said and done Master Doc was my first elite prof and I just can't bring myself to drop it
