First off, I don't condone the mis-treatment of pets...however...
If you really want a 'test subject' for your healing experiments to get you through medic/doc, then this is what you do...
a) get a CH that can call out at least 2 pets at the same time.
b) get Brandy and Ahrisa for the CH (good brandy can do about 400 pts to mind/focus/will for 42min, and good ahrisa can do about 378 pts to focus for 42min).
c) have the CH get an ENT FOCUS/WILL buff (secondaries - no need for primary mind buff) - usually 600 pts., good for 1-2 hr.
d) get the CH's ACTION buffed - don't get secondaries for action buffed, just the primary.
e) have the CH wear armor to reduce ACTION secondaries - but careful of dropping MIND secondaries too low).
f) CH calls pets and brings them into the med center - preferably small pets, use the roof area (bigger hallways, pets have less chance of getting stuck), and put pets in a corner our of the way.
g) CH gets his FOCUS up to at least 1500 (if the ent buff doesn't get it to this value, then eat Ahrisa OR drink Brandy - don't do both, alternate when focus goes down below 1500 so you can keep going as long as the ent buff is alive).
h) have the CH run a macro - /tellpet <trick1> - put the macro in a function key and have it call itself via /ui action toolbarSlotxx. (CH can stop the macro with /dump command at any time) This macro will issue the trick 1 pet command once every tick. You can add a /pause command to slow the trick commands if needed.
The 'test subject' CH's ACTION will burn VERY quickly - I got mine to burn about 144-288 per tick with 2 pets out.
Now, with this, you can have 3-5 novice medics healing the 'test subject' constantly. I had 3 novice Docs healing me constantly.
If the CH is a TKA, he/she can meditate and powerboost to get slightly higher ACTION - the more action your 'test subject' has, the more your likely to get a full heal when your medics heal (less chance of heal cap due to small amount of ham needing to be healed).
Oh, one other thing...have a Master Medic or Doc nearby for training - you're gonna need him/her often!!!!
Now, I don't think this is an exploit - yes it is a bit unfair - but it is using game mechanics as they currently stand. Plus, it doesn't help you with the crafting trees at all, so there is still work to be done.

this'll pull down the action faster I guess- but it's not hard to get several afk tumblers and set a macro that'll cycle and heal each in turn automatically.

Tumbling decreases a persons action AND health. Being able to heal both pools gives more experience each heal. Make a cheap action buff pack (forget the secondaries) and hit them with it. The action burns out on an armor wearing tumbler before you can heal them. Doing this lets you get more health and action used before you can drop a heal.
Tumbling was intended to give higher defense bonuses but is sorta bugged. The devs stated that tumbling was going to be revamped along with combat so there's a chance we might not be able to get experience this way.

Yeah but this macro will drain an entire action pool of 3k in 4 seconds.

I've actually seen this in use and the burn on action is just insane. We had 4 or 5 docs healing this guy (not the poster) we couldn't keep up with it. It was insane while his buffs lasted.
That however is most probably going to get 'fixed' at some point. Even though it sounds tough to set up, the one I saw just came in and started going at it. Therefore it can't be too hard once you get the hang of it.
Again though with holdgrinding fading out, the demand for this sort of thing will likely dwindle to the point of the Dev team not really needing to address this or tumbling

Yea, this Macro method with pets really does work better. I was almost a master doc and still couldnt keep up. It LITERALLY dumped his 4k buffs + boost in seconds. My heals bumped him to the top and it fell again in 2 seconds. At this point, everyone else in the Med Centre joined in and it was STILL rock bottom 90% of the time.
Had to tip that guy... A big one. He got me Master Doc

with a normal tumbler i made master doc in a day anyway.
would've been half a day if i didn't have to craft for 4 hours

Tumbling is fastest, because you can set up a macro to tumble then another to heal and 2 tumbling medics cna level fast healing each other.

Sigh. And to think I made Master Doctor nearly a year a go by actually healing injured people...

Don't feel so bad. I made Master Artisan the hard way. Made Master Armorsmith the hardway. Made Master Merchant the hard way. Almost made master medic the hard way on a different server.
I just didn't feel like doing it all over again on this server since I gave up Armorsmithing
