Thread: Somwhat confused about Unit Toughness in Enhancement packs

Being somewhat of a new Doctor, I was puzzled about the Enhance D pack schematics.
Why is there unit toughness as a part of the schematic? Avian meat and reactive gas do not have unit toughness as part of their attributes.

The explanation is simple - the people in charge of creating the schematics never rationalized their formulas against the required resources. All the other doc meds are 66% OQ, 33% UT for charges, so the enhance packs are too.
These aren't the only schematics like this, though I think they are the onlymedical schematics with this problem. Combat medic subcomponents used to have this problem (requiring things like conductivity from radioactive and gas), but they fixed those.

The effective charge formula is (Avian OQ + Gas OQ + 0)/3. This is gated to 66.67% since neither resource has UT.
So, in other words, you can only achieve 66% of the max value for number of charges.
