Thread: a way to spot fake tips!

Hey all im a doc from kauri server and i just wanted to post this up so people know....
Just to clear some stuff up someone just attempted fake tip me for a buff and i thought of a way to keep survival for all our docs!
1) probibally most important fact is WHEN YOU GET TIPPED FROM SOMEONE IT SAYS SENDER IS BANK NOT THE PERSONS NAME!!! <----- this fact alone will help u get over that
2) if the persons name is bank... or has found a way to dupe that system... make sure you check SPELLING!!!!! most people forget the 3 dots after bank transfer complete! its (Bank Transfer Complete...) be weary of this my fellow doctors cause people often do miss that and other little things along the way
3) watch for the spacing and suck in the bank message!
Well now i know most busy doctors dont have time to check all the things that thuroughally so 2 and 3 must be done less... but 1 alone is a big solvant for it.... i have tried to dupe myself doing it seeing if it would work... it doesnt or i havent at least found a way to get past the fact that a bank tip from someone(legit) says sender is bank and one not says sender (name of person sending)

It isn't that big of a deal now. When their name was in the mail line then it was easy to dupe it

i know i was just repeating that for everyone just in cause cause people often buff to fast to notice something like that my friend =)

I was already well aware of this, I had my fair share of attempted scammers. What really got to me during that time period was that we were doing them a favor and they were cheating us...grrrrr.
But anyway, thx for the tip amigo, I'm sure there were some docs out there that didn't know this, and even if everyone somehow does, there's no harm in double checking

i constantly keep an eye on balance.. writting it down at every buff..

Even a little easier when on the email just hit reply if its a real tip it wont let ou reply do to it being a system email.
