Thread: Enhancers: Do They Actually Do ANYTHING?

I've been buffing with and without enhancers, and they all say 10%. The durations are the same too, or maybe a couple of minutes different?

Bug, working as intended, or am I blind and/or completely non-perceptive?

I can't tell the difference between Bug and WAI anymore...

Like that glowy cloudburst when getting on/off a vehicle. Return of the Jedi speeder sequence on Endor would have been so much more interesting.

Oh wait I have strayed. Really I just want to know about the Enhancer deal. To no avail, I tried looking at some FAQ stuff here; somebody please delete every pre-CU FAQ. Those are just meaningless and confusing now.

The good news is the enhancers _are_ working, the bad news is that a good enhancer will add about 10% to the duration of the buff. Power is not influenced by enhancers currently, but it seems kinda silly because a longer duration is pointless when there will be a doc in a group who could rebuff at any time, which is what SOE is aiming for. So docs and BE are trying to get enhancers to change power, also.

buffing is a real joke imho.

i have two master docs on different servers and i have a novice bh with some med skills (4xxx). i tested the Health buffing and found, that there are only 10% buffs:

Medic 4xxx = +10% on health for around 30 minutes

Master Doc w/o enhancers = +10% on health for around 40 minutes

Master Doc with enhancers = +10% on health for around 45 minutes

so the whole difference between Medic and Master Docis 10 minutes duration (about +5 minutes when using enhancers - i guess around 10% added duration), which is nearly worthless, as in the new system the Medic/Doc should be part of the group and available to rebuff when the buff runs out

so all my well crafted buffpacks (900+) are now enhancers that give a +5 minute boost to buffs

i wonder whoever would purchase buffenhancers from BEs - from the ressources needed they will be expensive what i ve heard, so my advice to BEs is: "dont waste your time crafting that stuff"

Thanks for the responses, ya'll. I think I'll just continue the Enhancers I have on me, then when they run out, stop using them and see if there's any difference.

Oh and respec out of BE skills... no need to go there for me anymore!

I posted this in the issues thread:

  • Converted pre-CU buffpacks are 800 effectiveness, X (where X is the number of uses you had on the pack) uses. Post-CU health and action enhancers are 1200+ effectiveness, 200+ uses.

    • First, why the huge disparity?

    • Second, I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would make any of the new enhancers. The amount of resources required to make one is insane, especially the number of sub-components required! More mind-boggling are these results:

      • No enhancer "buff" (your magic buffing ability): 10%, 45 minutes
      • 800 effectiveness enhancer: 10%, 50 minutes
      • 1290 effectiveness enhancer: 10%, 55 minutes

Enhancers arenot working, SOE says they will soon, one day, maybe..

Check BE forums as well, they're fumbling over this as well
