Thread: My Doc Alt, OMG What do I do?

Questions:


1. M Doc: Do I need to keep it to buff myself?


i believe the advanced health buff, forget the name :/ is master doc, its 10% health and 10% health regen, as far as i remember its the only buff at master, the lower gives 10% health but no regen if i remember correctly, so i guess it depends how much you want that little extra regen.


2. If there are going to be fewer crafted buffs should I retemplate to allow for buffing and crafting to make my own?


there wont be any crafted buffs, all doc abilitys are now innate and dont need any meds, you will however beable to use crafted enhancers to give you a boost to your skill for the skills you buy/make enhancers for.


3. Existing buffs change to? (this spans 826 use to 938 use buff packs, and Janta buffs) who can use them? are they just high end stims now?


as of the last test conversion all meds turned into the general use stim packs, marrow put in a request to the devs to make meds convert to something more usefull, like enhancers for example, and it looks like they have changed the med conversion, tho we, or atleast i, dont know what to yet.


4. What is the suggested template to make your own buffs and be able to buff?


well you dont make the buffs, to make the enhancers i think you need master medic and 0004 BE to get the 10 experiment points, and buffs are now in set boxes, so you cant really use them the way you could with 90 med use packs before, tho enhancers may offer an alternitive, but again i havent had time to test that part myself

You actually need novice scout, novice medic and 1 line in each of them (hunting in scout and org chem in medic) to get novice BE. With that and BE0004, you will have 10 experimentation points. Although I haven't heard it confirmed yet, I believe any extra exp points you may have (through attachments/crafting apron) will work since BE now uses medicine assembly and experimentation for all their crafting.


5. Finally, I have been a large power supplier on Ahazi since release, also I run a resource business that does bulk sales, and specifically I run a specialized resource business just for DOC's!! with really low prices because I have never believed in price gouging critical support classes (that and I obviouly have alot of crafter friends and buy the final products they make from my resources) as to doc crafting resources:


Are these still required:

Tat fiber?

Dantoonie Berries?

Lokian WW?

Talusian Water?


these are still used in sub comps for enhancers and the general use stim packs, from what iv been reading they tend to be useing the old doc sub comps for CM enhancers now... but im not sure if thats set in stone or not, regardless they will still be used in the sub comps.

The subcomponents do still use the same resources as before, but last I saw they were used in some odd schematics. For example, the enhancers were using CM subcomponents rather than using aSDS aBEC aCRDM. I believe the stims kept the same old BEC, CRDM, LS requirement (but don't hold me to that since I am working from memory).



As I said I had only so much time to test Doc as I had many systems and professions to test Doc unfortunaly was not one of them

there we go, thats a much better explenation than mine


i was for some reason thinking on where the medic experiment points are and not what you actually need to get them, and on reading this again i rememberd they took the experiment pointout of master medic about a month back lol, sometimes i just amaze myself =P lol

Respec the doc alt to something else.

Doc is useless in the CU.

Anyone know if I can respec doc for a combat profession?


Yes.


PS: Doc although a different role than a buff ho now is actually quite useful, for those who like to solo alot and quite useful in teams. Although more attune to the healers of other games, is it necessary? Personally I love it in my templates always have.

I am so LOST. I had not played on TS. I have been a Doctor since Beta, and a Master Doctor since shortly after the begining of the game. I had a 30 packs of each buff stat worth tons of credits, and now they seem worthless. I always enjoyed Combat medic, is that worth playing? OH, I also have tons of sub components, and resources, but can't craft my own stuff. ME=DEER CU=HEADLIGHTS
