Thread: Hate generated from healing too much?

(This is not a doctor issue alone, this is an issue regarding both doctor and combat medic)
Is it just me or is the hate generated from healing way over the top? After a quick tour to the DWB yesterday I noticed that I hardly can do a single bacta infusion / bacta jab combo on the main tank (or any other healing combo, be it doctor or combat medic heal) without generating enough hate to pull all mobs on me.
I think this needs to be toned down quite a bit, right now I see no way a tank can generate enough hate in the small period of time he has before he needs heals to "counter" the hate we generate from doing the first one or two heals. It might work ok in "lower end" encounters as the tank has more time to generate hate before he needs a heal, but it surely does not work out in "endgame" content as far as I noticed...

I tend to agree on this. I was a healer in various mmorpgs from DAoC over Anarchy Online to EQ2. Aggro caused by healing has to be a challenge but with the low amounts that we curently heal and with the compareable huge aggro it causes it is very hard if you don't want to end up tanking the mob all the time.
This gets even worse if you are the main damage dealer too (combat medic +riflegirl) and if you start spamming heals just to stay alive yourself your group wont manage to kill the mob in time. On top of that the huge aggro from rifles doesnt really help here either 
I personally would like an enhanced bacta jab efficiency (either lower cooldown as the DEVs seem to intend or higher damage healed) with same or slightly less aggro caused. Combat Medics could use less aggro on their heals too as bacta spray pretty much is the best taunt move in the game. I do not mind that one that much though as it is more a last resort solution anyways. But Combat Medics will already generate a lot of aggro through their damage... so a slight reduction here wouldnt be bad either.
