This is generally true, but you should also look at the cost/benefit involved. Using 18 units of herbivore meat and 18 units of liquid petro 4 in items will most likely significantly boost your cost. In my case, it's not uncommon to pay 15-20 cpu for good herbivore meat. If your customers are willing to pay that extra cost in the final product, then it works out. But keep in mind that you're talking and extra 250 or so PER STIM, at least in my case. I've found that it ends up being too expensive to most people.

Probably because this stuff can vanish from a galaxy for weeks at a time. Once it's gone, all the herbivore meat in the world isn't going to do you any good because you still won't be able to make any advanced CRDM's.

However, if an advanced resource is crummy and I'm all out of it, I'll harvest as much as I think I'll need until it comes back again. When it comes back and it's of high quality - that's when you hoard it.
