Thread: newbie question regarding creating stims with a factory
What crafting kit are you using? You cannot experiment or create a schematic using a Generic crafting kit, you need to be next to the appropriate crafting station and using a matching crafting kit. For making stims, you need a Food and Chemical crafting kit and be next to a Food and Chemical crafting station. For StimBs a Public station will be fine.
When buying a Food and Chemical crafting kit, check the quality of it first, you want one as close to 15 as possible for the best success rates.
When doing the experimenting, only put in one point at a time, and keep re-experimenting until you've used all your points. If you put them all in at once you'll have a much higher risk and be more likely to fail.
In order to make them in a factory, the sub-components must be identical as well, so you'll need to run off the Liquid Suspensions, Chemical Release Duration Mechanisms and Biological Effect Controllers in the factory first, then make up your StimB schematic using those.

P.S. To make a schematic for a Scout camp you need a 'Weapon, Droid and General' crafting kit, and be next to a 'Weapon, Droid and General' station.

You need a food and chemical tool, a food and chemical crafting station (personal for some schematics, town ones ok for most) and a food and chemical factory.
Factories don't show a "load schematic" option on radial unless you actually have a valid schematic in your datapad.
So -
get your resources for a LS (or whatever)
get in range of your food and chem station
open your food and chem crafting tool
insert resources
combine
3 options(make proto, make schematic, experiment), pick experiment
finish experimenting
2 options (make proto, make schematic) pick schematic
pick a name (handy so you don't need to check serial numbers), manually edit number to 1000 (optional, if you're only doing small numbers, not required, but no reason not to)
It instantly goes into your datapad with your waypoints and pets.
Move to factory, you now have input schematic option, put it in
put resources in input hopper
turn it on
Hi, Im trying to help my gf's character become a be and want to craft alot of stims in a factory (they are always handy) but when we got the factory, filled it with power and paid maintainence there is no option in the radial menu to enter in a schematic. Only want to create stim b's and she has the schematic when we look at her general crafting tool. :/
and yeah we bought a food/chemical factory. what are we doing wrong?![]()

You have to be near a crafting station (private for doc. stuff, public for medic stuff)
It should give you the "Create Schematic" option

well I now know how to make a schem but for some reason neither of our char's can make them. Im guessing its in step 2 of the crafting process where you can apparently select create the object prototype,experiment or create draft schembut all I have at that step is assemble :/
Im a master scout and cant even create a schem for a novice camp. grr wish I new what I was doing wrong. Im a master creature handler and nearlymaster pistoleer and this is making me feel like Im back at day one ![]()

Dejavi you need to use exactly the same water and organic in the ingredient hopper that you used to make the schematic.
So for example if you used some water from Corellia to make the schematic, it wont work with water from Tatooine. The names of the type of component can also change when resources shift on a planet. Water harvested a month ago on Talus would not have the same name as water harvested today. The name of the water must be exactly the same as the kind you used to make the schematic.
