I appear to not be gaining any Crafting XP when using a factory to manufacture items. For the past week, I have been 500 points shy of acquiring Doc Crafting III, despite making nearly 1000 units of various items. (Advanced components, normal components, Stim-B's, Stim-C's, state packs, enhances).

And I am still 500 points shy.

I have perused the boards and tried a number of suggestions. Perhaps I am missing something in my factory use? Here's a few of the things I have tried:

• Sitting next to the factory for the entire run, logged in the entire time.


• Sitting next to the factory and logging out.


• Sitting next to the factory and quitting.


• Staying more than 1000m away from the factory, logged in the entire time.


• Entering and exiting a city (Dearic) during the run.


• Not taking any shuttles.


• Taking shuttles.


• Staying on the planet (Talus).


• Travelling to other planets. (1 or more)


• Leaving items in the hopper.

I am the owner and administrator for the factory, and nobody else has access to it. The factory is 3000m from the closest city, so that should not be a factor.

500 points isn't that much, but I refuse to succumb to "the grind" in my quest for Master Doctor. All the XP I have gained has been through normal play with groups, and the fourth tier of Doctor Crafting might not ever get filled if I have to hand-craft items in order to gain Crafting XP. Now that I have a factory, I am using it for almost everything, especially since it can work while I'm offline.

I'm fine with reduced XP from using a factory. Heck, since I can spit out 100 items with very little effort, I expect less XP than hand crafting! But I'd like to gain some XP for using a factory...

I appreciate any suggestions.

SOE broke factory xp (the 10% variety) several weeks ago. Its been reported many times on the boards here, but doesn't seem to be getting much interest from the devs.

Upon re-reading my post, I realized that I did not state that there was a time that I did get Crafting XP from the factory. I stopped getting XP a little over a week ago.

To the best of my knowledge medical crafting XP is not given by factories, I beieve this is a known issue listed on the Doctor's issue list. Supposedly the developers are looking into some part of this but that doesn't seem to amount to much right now. YOur only source of Medical Crafting XP is doing it the hard way.

I had done a search of the boards for the words "factory" and "experience", but I couldn't find anything current.

Now that I know others are having the same problem, I feel a bit better about the situation. I will also be plenty happy to help the devs try to debug the issue!

Vodo, thank you for the additional information. I will keep a closer eye on the Doctor's Issue List.

In the meantime, it looks like I won't be getting Master Doc anytime soon! I'll just wait until this factory issued is resolved (one way or the other) instead of submitting to "the grind".
