Thread: Fully armored doc with 800 focus + 650 willpower 15 minutes spend mind bleeding
I know here we ment to try and follow some form of constructive posts
But im really sorry Devs and fellow Doctors theres no way in the world i can be constructive about this
Our profesion has been puttin up with too much promisses and yet nothing has yet seen the light of day
About /First aid heres a little scenario
650 willpower
800 focus
and yet after one mear incap from a mind bleed which iturn some how for the life of me i dont know gave me 500 + willpower wounds from 1 incap
I was rendered uselees for 3 incapes and 5 attempts each time to heal it
Remove the damm bleeds if they continuing passed incap, theres no way you can say thats how they ment to work
And pls pls fix it so that first aid does stop the bleed at first go
If you cant seem to code that then atleast give us a schematic for a Cure Bleed State
I cant justifie been a master Doc and something as silly as a mind bleed to render me useless
None taken TRS-80
which part dont you understand
the part that mindwounds were too much for 1 fight versus an npc
or the part during the fight i was fully armored
or maybe the part that the NPC atacked with a mind Bleed that continued for 3 incaps
oh wait let me guess maybe you missed the part about how /firstaid didnt work for 15 tries
wait i know which part you didnt understand
the part where maybe bleeds should be removed since they still active after an incap
or this part
Maybe we need a Cure state pack for mind bleed after all we are ment to be master doctors
even if some of us cant put sentences together so even TRS-80 can understand
" , . ( ) & ! . ? / , .
^^^ I had a few spare ... feel free to use em.
Read Zarlors latest post for goodies directed at the Doc class. First Aid made the list...
Actually, Moutro, I was confused byyour post as well.
You almost lost me here: "after one mear incap from a mind bleed which iturn some how for the life of me i dont know gave me 500 + willpower wounds from 1 incap"
Translated: After a single incapacitation from aMind Bleed, you woke up with 500 points of Willpower wounds.
It seems I misunderstood this line: "I was rendered uselees for 3 incapes and 5 attempts each time to heal it"
I thought you only attempted to use First Aid 5 times total. It isn't until your second post that it becomesclear that you were unable to stop the bleeding after 15 attempts. Quite honestly, by the time I got to this line in your post I had already read enough misspellings and grammatical errors to not know how to interpret what you had meant to say.
I believe I got the rest of your post, although I still dismissed most of it because I felt that you had not made a compelling argument. Perhaps you're correct - A Master Doctor should be able to stop Mind Bleeds more effectively than any other class. (Only one of the statements you make at the end of your post.) But based on the text in front of me, I don't see it as a gamebreaker or even a serious flaw in game design.
Your second post was too snarky, based on the information presented in your first post. At no point in your first post did you state any of the following:
- "the part that mindwounds were too much for 1 fight versus an npc"
- "or the part during the fight i was fully armored"
- "the part where maybe bleeds should be removed since they still active after an incap"
I already admitted that I didn't understand your 15 First Aid applications, and I appreciate that you clarified that statement in your second post.
Yes, some of us can form sentences that other people can understand. I hope that you will take the time to proofread/re-read your future posts so people will get your message and be able to respond in an appropriate manner. As a show of good faith, here's what I have to say about your Incap:
I don't think that Medics and Doctors should always be able to heal themselves. I'm okay with bandaging up normal wounds with Stimpacks, but some types of injuries should require a second person. Example: If I'm tagged with a debilitating head shot that tags me with a Mind Bleed, then I don't think it makes sense for me to reach into my skull for a quick fix-it. Real world examples abound of various injuries requiring multiple Doctors, and this fits with my vision of the Star Wars universe. When I played EverQuest, I expected that the master healers would be able to cure all my ills with the wave of their arms; not so in SWG.
I agree with you that Mind Bleeds should stop after one incapacitation. Or kill you by the end of the incap time. After all, if you can't stop the bleeding while concious, how is the injury going to get any better when you collapse on the ground?

Thx GG_Crewfor youre kind words unfortantley not all of us had the comforts of higher school education
in manny ways it makes me illiterate to the way of the norm.
It be near imposibel for me to try and proofread or correct speeling or spaces or ,? and what ever else is needed.
Maybe we should stick to only litterate people postin and the rest just playign the game.
I understand where you comming from when you say
Benefits of another doc tendin youre wounds, yeah thats all cool but not when i sacrifise 2 whole profesions to be a master doc.
My clear vision of starwars is just like Eyeshot from a Bounty hunter nevver misses and can be fired at intervals of 1.2 sec for 300 mind damage, so should i be able to tend my bleed at first go no fail what so ever.
Upcomin changesmay fix it and may not, i havent read the latest upcoming promisses but i do know this Bleed problem exsisted all the way through beta.
(I even remeber the first time they gave worts the ability to to bleed damage and the whole beta population was on an uproar.)
If tho bleeds still dont get cured at first go, then we really need a Heal Bleed state pack schematic.
Sure it aint a game breaker.
But i hate to think that the only way i can play my doc is by havving to always group with other people just incase this happens.
as for where i lost you its ment to go like this
after 1 incap i get up still bleedin and over 500 willpower wounds, although i tried to regenarate mind with the remainder willpower it took 15 attempts thought a period of 3 incapps.
Even worse than the woefully illiterate are the willfully illiterate.
huket awn foniks wurket four meh.
I mean, seriously, you didn't even spell "spelling" correctly. I only have a high school education. But **edit**.. spelling is a 3rd grade word (many years ago whenI was in 3rd grade). Now if you grew up in a 3rd world country, then i'm sorry.. or if your mentally retarded, sorry again.. or even if your dislexic (which wouldn't apply in this case) then i'm sorry. All it takes is a few seconds well in your case, a few minutes, to read over a post and look for at least spelling errors.. the punctuation isn't that big of a deal. But if you don't at lease spell simple words right.. you won't be taken too seriously. This also was not an attempt to flame you or make fun of you, so i'm also sorry if your offended by it.
Take care all.
I've noticed something like this too, however I get the feeling you were hit with a CM poison or perhaps a really really bad sniper bleed.
Anyways I've been incapped due to the small mind bleeds that certain mobs fire at me, and I've noticed that my focus and willpower quite often gets screwed up by this, i.e I had 620 willpower before incap, then I get incapped and willpower drops to -81. I still get back up on my feet pretty quick though, even with -81.
Well the funny thing that often happens is that the willpower and focus stats stays at the incap values, by this I mean at -81 in willpower for example. When/if this happens you are pretty screwed as you don't regen mind fast enough to actually use first aid and decrease the effect of the bleed. Thus gettin you incapped over and over.
My solution to this is always to carry some food with me, best if you use food that affects your mind stats, this will set your i.e willpower back to normal and you should be able to regen mind fast enough to actually use first aid.
Hope this helps. Oh and in the light of the comments made on spelling - sorry if I made any errors, typos or whatever. I'm danish and english is merely a secondary language for me.
