Thread: Selling Stims.. Whats the most effective way?
I notice that I can quickly fill up my available items to sell on the bazaar. I do have some success selling crates by standing in the middle of town and avertising. What is the best way that you have found to sell crates or just one offs? I think b's are selling the best for me.
If you have a vendor, how do you get people to visit it?
I rely on a combination of word of mouth, /shouting once or twice a day in town, Planetary vendor listing, and posting here on my server forum to sell my stims.
Also very important, when you make stims, put Made by XXX in the name of the stims. That way people will know who to contact for more. Then direct them to your vendor. All my stims are named like that : "B stim 400/42 by Apoch".
Posting on the server forums has probably been my best helper. I don't spam and post every 3 or 4 days or so listing my newest stims in stock (recently stocked 415/41 B stims in the morning and sold out before lunch). I use fully advanced components and haven't yet sold a single stim over 1100 creditgs so I get ALOT of repeat business.
I cannot make stims fast enough to meet the demand - May even have to raise prices a little bit.
I used to run a vendor shop, but since I wasn't going all the way up into the Merchant line I found I was starting to pay rediculous vendor fees on my Soda pop vendor.
Basically now all I do is grab my crates before I head out on my every other day resource gathering run. I mean really, to be an effective doctor, you probably have harvesters on 4-5 plantes at all times. hehe
While I'm doing that I /yell in the towns that I stop in what stims I have for sale and what the price for a crate of 50 are. (currently selling 38 use, 366 heal crates for 35k). After a while I've got so much repeat business that I'm actually just running my factories to push out repeat customer e-mail orders.
It's the getting started part that will take you a week or two. After that you'll probably have enough repeat business to keep you rolling.
I name my stims with the # of the power at the beginning of the name. Like this: 351 Stim B (Lexy)
I also make the name colored, so it's easier to notice. I then put them up on the bazaar as an auction, and put an ad in the description for my vendor. This gets me a listing on the bazaar right near the top of the Misc>Pharm category, so people see it. I put one in each of the main towns.
I don't sell stims on the bazaar, except on Endor. Becuase on endor you can easily get the max price for good stim b's.
Just too many factors to consider to give you a good answer. But here is what I noticed from my business.
BAZAAR SALE
It absolutely makes a huge difference where you are selling your stuff.
I had 5 account, so for experiment I loaded up same stimps on 5 different location around the planets to see if there is difference.
For example, Selling Stimp-B in very crowded city like Theed doesn't seem to work. I've had 25 sit there for 5 days and only sold out after weekend.
But same Stimp-B sell VERY well on other planet (and no I am not gonna tell you!). It's been selling well on that bazaar for 5 weeks now.
Wound B's sell only in small doses. Once I flooded a bazaar with wound-B Action, and it never got sold in 7 days. But on same bazaar I loaded 2 of each, and whole set get sold out every day! so in 7 days I sold 14 wound action when I didn't even sell 5. strange I though.
Cure poison/diease... No clue. I put up 2-3 on each of planets I go to, and the sale of them are all so random. sometimes they well in one planet, and sometimes same 3 will sit there for week. Hmm...
Wound-E. Same as Cure poison/disease. Sometimes they sell, sometimes they don't. and more popular bazaar sell more than advanced planets. weird.
Stimp-C is about same as Stimp-B
Stimp-D & E only seem to sell in big city bazaar. And in bursts. Sometimes they sell out every day, and sometimes they would just sit there.
Enhanced D's - Ha! since we can only charge 3k, they ALWAYS get sold out no matter where you put em. Location doesn't seem to matter.
Combat Meds - I am still collecting data for CM sales pattern.
As for vendor sales, thats a merchant thing and how good of business men/women you are.
My advice is 1) Location 2) Advertise 3) cut throat competition
