Buffs, which is the common MMO term for what is called "Enhancements" in SWG, are a tool, item or skill that increases an attribute.

Doctors have the ablity to enhance your Health, Strength, Constitution, Action, Quickness and Stamina using crafted kits like stims or wound packs. They are significantly harder to craft than stims or wound packs, and can only be used by a Doctor.

There are 4 levels of enhance packs, A through D. D being the most powerful. There are a lot of factors that go into how good a buff can be... and you can read the doctor FAQ that's got a link stickied at the top for that. But essentially, Master Doctor buffs are from 800-3400 point increases depending on the quality of the pack, wound treatment abilities and so forth. They typically last for 1.5 to 3 hours... again depending on the quailty of the pack.

Dancers and Musicians can also buff.. and they require no resources to do it. Dancers can enhance your Mind, and musicians can enhance your Focus and Willpower.

Unlike chef buffs(food) or smuggler buffs(spice) which can be used by anyone at any time, Doctor/Dancer/Musician buffs can only be applied by the Doctor/Dancer/Musician.
