Thread: Master MM,CM,MD looking for a change but.....

As my title says, I am MM, MCM, MD and I have grown verytired of the resource hunting. Just hunting for teh doctor has enough time involvement for me and I kinda want too get back into the action but stil keep my support role. Since getting the Doc tag my group never needs a heal or a rez for the most part, so I am looking to drop medic and and pick up a weapon. Now keeping Doc will limit my ability to get master marksman or Brawler so the bonuses by them are not much of an issue.


Saying my biggest concern is my race, for at oen tiem i wanted to be a Ch and went wookiee. When everyone else did, I made teh switch to keep my friends alive and the extra HAM is great. I was hoping that would give me a slight bonus in mellee combat. I posted this on Swordsman asking about the negative affects that i would get cause i would wear no armor.


Is there any Master Docs Master melle out there that can shed light on this for me, and if you were a wookiee it would be such a huge bonus for me as well. Since I can't get the uber comp/ubese 74%-80% kinetic armor am I in for a world of hurt? I have my own stims and buffs, plus Muon gold seems readly available and I am in teh works to have endless supply of it and the entire chef line soon. I have my heart set on 2 handed, but i peek at TKA cause of teh knockdown. I keep goign back to Swords cause the hammer and my worried that once i get it the nerf bat is on the way.



I have dabled in the ranged as well. Nearing master carbineer i loved the damage the carbine threw out with some of its attacks and my ability to keep healed up made it a non issue, plus pistol which i just cant get into cause there are so many of them out htere. Rifle being th only one i haven't messed with.



Any thoughts or suggestions, I hope the Doc side is more helpful than the mellewas. 2 responses I got 1 yes, 1 no didn't do much but add more cloudy water to the glass. But they sure like to answer all the hologrinder questions that appear every few secs, even though they claim to hate the grinders hehe.

I was once a Master Doctor and Teras Kasi Master. I'm human and I never, ever, wore armour back then. The bonuses granted were more then enough tokeep me going and the fact that I could tag myself with 2-3K buffs in all stats(with the eventual 800 buff on one of them, damnable variation) made up for the lack of armour. Add in the 10 minute powerboost buff of a Teras Kasi, a sheild generator(which anyone can wear i believe) and you're pretty much set.


I took on pre-patch Kimos armourless as an MD/TKM with no trouble whatsoever.


Melee + MD is a viable and actually very good template.

Master doc + any melee is good.

TKA is running a bit overpowered at the moment (even with some broken skills).. and Pikemen have trouple hitting anything (crafted equipment stats have bad "to-hit" range mods). Fencer has trouble with speed cap (lower damage weapons, but they hit the speed cap too soon, so DPS is low).

All of this will be fixed in combat balance though... and none of it is unworkable (especially w/ doc buffs).

Damage mitigation makes a big difference against bigger mobs.

Armor is indeed optional, especially if you stay in the level range you should be fighting (or your group). Most people fight too high, so they need the armor and buffs just to stay alive.
