Hello,
My server just hit a real nice spawn of avian on Corillia. Whats the largest meat giving Avian you can get? how many group members required for the missions?

Devil Gulginaws do spawn on Corellia. I get about 20-25 units from each kill with humble hunting 1 and no veghash or other aids.
Trouble is I dont think they come up on the mission terminals. They spawn randomly in the mountains. I've gt lucky with a few lairs in the mountains above and around Doaba Guerfel.
Hope that is of some use.

If i am not mistaken Carrios Spats (look like Kaduu's basically but light brown) is what you are looking for on Corellia.

www.swgcreatures.com is a pretty good resource - except it thinks the biggest bird on corellia is a devil gulginaw, which to my knowledge only spawns on Talus.
Biggest bird on Corellia is a Giant Carrion Spat, regular Carrion Spats are missionable, but they yield very little resources - 12-13 a bird at novice scout with veghash, even rangers can't get that much meat from the scrawny things.

Unfortunately, two of the best avian spawns ever on Ahazi have been on Corellia, where its very tough to get meat.
This is what you do. Get missions for Carrion Spats. They are around level 12. Typically, hunters have to play around with which weapon they are holding and what pets/droids/people they are grouped with to get the right level mission. Otherwise, its too high or too low. The spats are terrible harvesting (I think around 12 units per birdie), but it will likely be faster than trying to track down spawns of giant spats or gulginaws, unless you are a ranger.
BTW, on the most recent Corellian avian on ahazi (900+ OQ + PE) was going for 300 cpu!!!!

So how come one of the top 5 issues for doctor is that the avian animals for the most part are pretty pathetic?
I can say one thing though, in addition to veghash a harvesting droid is a must for all hunting.
Not only does it give you a nice tidy bonus that stacks with veghash but it allows you to harvest while in combat. Also if you are rifle like me and are standing back hitting things with conceal shot you can have your droid running around harvesting the corpses. One suggestion though, do not group the droid. I saw one post where someone on the scout forums suggested it, then complained that their droid tended to run away, of course it did. If you group the droid it will get aggro'd along with you and run away (no combat module). Just leave it ungrouped and send it after each corpse as they drop.

Tekai, just wanted to tip you off that the avian meat is worthless - the Decay Resistance is in double figures, like 92 or something.
Makes for nasty 2 hour buffs... eewwwww....

S'ulli's right-- it's pretty bad. You best bet, as i recall, is Talus Avian for this Kett spawn. DR/PE/OQ is 950/762/898. Which is good, because the only Dolovite we got this time kind of bites HARD. i'm glad I've got some stockpiled.
Of Course, i'm still using up that really great Lokian from a while back... but I'm going to run up a stock of the talusian while it's here, just in case.

Errr, i meant to say that I've HEARD Dolovite sucks this spawn. I haven't seen it yet.

What servers do you all play on? I'm a master doc looking for good HQ spawns of Avian meat and Herbivor meat. I play on the Bria server...If anyone has any info pls /tell Belera or send me an in game email. Any advice or points in a good direction would be most appreciated. Thnx.
