Hi everyone!
I got a little idea on how to charge for buffs.
Say if we charge 5credits per overall point, then a 2k buff would be 10k, a 2.4k buff would be 12k.
Please give me some input on this.
This has been working for me, and my customers seems to be very happy about both prices and buff stats.

There are many philosophies on charging for buffs, ranging from people who provide buffs as a service to the community to people who are a master doctor solely as a business enterprise. I am the latter, which is why my philosophy is a little different from yours.
From an economic standpoint to make the most money, you want to charge every consumer exactly theamount thatthey are willingto pay for that buff, so long as it will not discourage them from hiring you in the future.
This is *NOT* a flat fee, as when you are at an outpost on dathomir people will be willing to pay more than when you are sitting in an isolated city on naboo.
I generally charge 5k when I am at my shop on naboo for people who swing by to get buffed. I don't often buff in large cities for cash, but when I do I tailor my price relative to the other docs buffing. My current buffs are 3.5 hour duration with 2293 power, which is usually at the higher end, therefore I will usually charge 1-2k more than docs with poorer packs. If a doc is buffing with better packs, I will charge 2-3k less than him. Finally if I am in a 'high end' PvE zone like the geno caves, dathomir or the DWB I will charge 15k-20k depending on what other docs in the area may or may not be charging.
As somebody who has played a combat char for a very long time, I think most doctors significantly undercharge. Most people recoup the costs of their buffs after their first set of missions, and if you are the only doctor available at an isolated place and still charge what you would in a relatively low demand placeyou are leaving the surplus with the consumer, not the supplier.

The prices i set were for public buffing in coronet or theed. Its just that ppl seem to dislike the prices no matter what u charge so if we could set some kind of standard we would get nicer customers. I dont know the prices on your server but I think 10k for 2.4 3hours buffs are way too cheap thinking how much u can make running missions.

I look at it this way, solo you can get 1 Giant Baz Nitch Mission for 11k on Dathomir and complete it in 5 minutes or less with ease on 2500+ buffs. I know this because I used to do it. With 80% Composite, 2500+ buffs and a decent attack from an elite combat profession, I could easily clear 100,000+exp and 50k to 100k cr in an hour. Hence I charge 12k for my 2500 buffs.

people disute prices because unlike vendors and such when they come to get a buff its from a PC, not an entity (vendor)

when im 'on the job' im in it for the cash. altho i am nice to my faction. 8-10k for my faction depending on what str buffs i have got and 12-15k for anyone else.

Heh, I'm not that organized. I just charge 12-15k for mine depending on how I feel that day. Plus I never commercially buff unless there are no doctors around, so I only buff then to help out those in need.
