I am fairly new to the Doc profession where I spend most of my time on the battlefield. My question is about rezzing and its point. It seems to me there are few reasons to use this especially when a cloner is nearby. When one is rezzed, they still lost their enhancements and wake up needing healed. So other than a situation where there is no cloner nearby, what is the benefit of rezzing a teammate on the battlefield?

There are more times when a Doc and his friends are not near a cloner, say they are at the Geo caves. That would be a crappy ride again just to die prolly one more time. Also, when you rez and you are not insured, non of your items decay. Even if you are insured and you die by a creature a doc can rez you for decay purposes. Mostly it is for when you are in remote places or you just aren't cloned.

That's what I thought....no real reason to rez when the cloner is 150m away. . .
Thanks!

Umm... didn't you read his post?
You save 1% condition (if insured) and 5% condition (if not insured) on all your stuff if you rez, and if you rez and you're insured, you don't have to insure again. Insuring all my stuff normally costs me 3 - 4K, which is the price of what, 10 rezpacks?
If any friend I have dies, even if its right outside the cloning center, I will rez them... its cheaper than a 1% decay on armour/weapons + insuring charges.

Guess I missed this part. The particular situation I was in had a teammate calling for a rez while surrounded by enemies. It didn't makes sense to me to rez him when I would be TEF'd in the middle of the battlefield. . .Then I would die and have to clone and experince the decay on my own items. . .

I am pretty sure dragging now gives you a tef..
However.. to the original poster.. there are times rezzing makes sense.. and times it does not.. I don't rez when PvPing in the middle of Theed.. since people can clone and return quicker than 60 secs..
When raiding another base.. it is a matter of time before your group is banned from the cloner.. so then Rez becomes a VERY important part of the raiding infrastructure..

Rezzing is a much bigger issue when in small groups. If I am in a small group fighting something big (say a krayt), the loss of a single offensive combatant can be enough to cause us all to die. In this case, rezzing can help us win the battle, even if that person i out of action for a minute.

Thank for all the feedback. I was looking at rezzing from a PvP perspective and concluded before posting that it didn't mak sense to rez unless we are in an enemy city banned from the cloner. In that case, it makes perfect sense. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. . .

Another advantage of rezzing during a raid is that the revived person will not be reset to covert status as they will be for cloning in a lot of cloning centres, comes in real handy for keeping the teffer numbers in the group right down.

Also rez kits heal mind/action/health wounds and heal some mind damage (which is the only doctor skill that heals mind, besides the damage packs loot drops).
