WellI don't post here often, because i'm too busy working or playing. ButI have some ethical questions and an ideas for us docs. I am a master doc on Corellia (flurry server) and have noticed more Master docs buffing on all the planets. So heres my ideas

Stabalize costs of buffs:

I think that based on the number of your buff, the location of your buff and the number of docs buffing close to you we should have a guide. I think its in everyones interest if the prices are stabalized. Here's some suggestions:

Buff:

2500 and up: 12-15K (12k if others are buffing the same numbersin the area, 15 if you are all alone)

2400 - 2499: 9K-12k (9k if others are buffing, 12k if alone)

2200 - 2399: 8k-9k

2000 - 2199: 7-8K

1999 and lower: ????

Single shots of Buff: 1k-2k

Time variable: Now the times of the buff will adjust accordingly (3+ hours gets a few more bucks the 2+hours)

IfI buffed 2451 for 3 hours and 11 minI may charge 11k, while Dr Jones charges 10k for 2451 with 2 hours 48 min

My last idea, I probably shouldn't even say this cause i'm letting my tricks out of the bag:

I made coupons for my buffs: 25% off,50% off , Buy one get one free, Free coupon, there are also multiple 25% for 5 times etc...

I did these on chance cubes and renamed then to the appropriate coupon type, I know when people give them to me causeI created them (upon examine) andI keep track of the serial#'s cause I'm **edit**!!! But I've found that this is a really cool tactic, it helps get your name out there, gets you repeat customers, and really helps with recruiting for new players in your city or guild. I usually buff the playersI go out with in hunting parties, and if they do goodI usually throw them a coupon or two. I've even given a few (3) lifetime of free buffs coupons. Now the disclaimerI put in the coupon is something like: you can not skip line, and only for use whenI am available!! That way if I'm out on missions or quests,I don't have to drop everything to go buff someone!

So what do you think of trying to stabalize buff costs.... what do you think of my coupon idea

Oh and in case you don't know how to calculate what your buffs are go to this page:

or

http://www.iootnega.com/doctor/faq.asp

Last question: I was thinking about selling my services as a master doc for hunting parties... pick up missions, no fighting (unless requested) but healing, curing, buffing, and reviving, for a fee. You charge either a per player or per group fee (20k for 1-5 in group, 50k 5-10, etc) and you get your share of the missions as well. just an idea.

I don't have vendors,I don't sell resources,I don't want to master other professions,I want to be a doc and still be able to run a buisness of sorts. So please don't flame me for trying to think of good ways to make money, and stabalize the master doctor economy.

i personally think Buffs are too cheap.

My formulae is as follows :

Number of points added (rounded down to nearest hundred) * 6 (6 stats) * (number of hours -1).

so lets say your doing 2300 buffs to all 6 stats for 3 hours. 2300 * 6 * 2 = 27600. High you say ?. .not considering the amount of credits someone can make in 3 hours (or even 2 hours with travel times) with that buff.

Newbie doc? Lets say 1700 points to all 6 for 1 hr 45 mins. 1700 * 6 * 1.45 = 14790.

If the (number of hours - 1) drops below 1, it stays at 1.

I agree with much more!

From experience...... I can buff myself and go make 300k-600k doing missions just during that buff. The current imbalace due to the insane armor quality (resists) and buff stats (2400+..... good grief) have increased the "in use"amount of currency. Naturally when this happens prices raise accordingly. This is called inflation, and needs to happen soon to buffs.

Yep.

The sooner Dr's get together and raise prices to about double (at least) what it is now, the better.

it will create a great market for the "newbie" DRs buff's aswell. If you cant afford 2400 buff's for 30K, then be happy with 1500/1 hour buff's to run your missions with, you'll still make ALTO of money running missions.

I discovered just how not needed buffs were this week with decent armor, and i was only using 70% Kenetic Ubese.
