Thread: Doctor MACRO's...can it be done?

Hello.

With all the great players learning how to do things within the CU, can Bacta Infusion be made into a repeating MACRO like COB? Granted using a looped COB macro in the CU is tricky, can anyone out there whip up one for Bacta or is this just a dream?

Thanks.

You may want to change it to

/bactainfusion self

or you my infuse someone you have targeted.

think the same can be made with buffs, so you dont forget to buff yourself (especiallyy adrealin boost)

What about a macro to buff others afk, i have a md md it'd be kool to have her just doc buff and dance buff afk for the people who come in the cantina. But I cant figure out how to target them as they come in. How do those "group invite " afk guys do it? Anyone know ? The ones who tell you to get in a certain place to recieve your invite.

Obie(wanna)be ljk on chilastra,obie(wannabe) as alt on chilastra,(ismelllikefish) fairly useless doc on chilastra, so when does the fun start?

The problem with any healing macros is that they'll kill you on PvP. If you get KD'ed while your macro is queued you'll have the hardest of times getting up due to the "Cannot use KD recovery while KD'ed" bug. Also, a recursive bactainfusion macro will consume your mind in 10 minutes max.. believe meyou better keep control of those moves to yourself rather than making them automatic.

One suggestion i often make is not to make the macro recursive but only adding an alarm that signals you that bactainfusion is running out. You can do thisthe following way:

Macro COB (exemple name)

/centerofbeing;

/pause 41;

/alarmAddin 0 0 ***COB is running out***;

and that's it ... now, each time cob runs out i get 4 chimes and an onscreen message that tells me ***COB is running out***. No queued specialsinterfering with my strategy. I dueled several healers that use recursive macrosand the result is always the same. I finish with 60% mind while they're close to 0%.

Hope this helps

Ahh, the alarmAddin macros are spreading from Pistoleer to Doc! Good stuff.

Doc macros have always been a nice idea while in PVP/PVE combat, but not only do they drain your mind but they really slow you down as you dont need a poisoncure/infusion etc most of the time anyway. I only ever used buffing macros while buffing the old way with the /ui action ToolbarSlot thing.

Macros that will come in handy are the sort of things that save space on your toolbar,like commands that will cure poison,disease,fire all in one command. I'm assuming you can still put them in order of importance and it will only execute the command if you have that specific state.

I cant remember exactly but I used to use one that went something like:

/curePoison self,

/healDizzy self;

/cureDisease self;

/extinguishFire self;

I suppose you can just change the commands to disinfect or whatever it is these days, I'll know more once I get round to rewriting my macros to figure out what works best.

LoL....I've been using this forever....I'm kinda mixed about it's use right now though, seems more irritating then helpful now only because I really don't like pushing a lot of buttons when I'm playing, so stuff like COB I just loop it. Never really cared much for any type of looping heal macro though.

The alarm rocks though for SL Stuff though.
