I'd say 4000 doc if you want the healing. Basically for self-healing purposes you can sustain yourself very long. The buffs might be nice too in XXX4 branch but not as useful as the healing. State cures are pretty useless since in players can cure stun, dizzy, blind themselves, mobs don't give any poison right now and curing poison in pvp usually fails and can be re-applied fast enough anyway.

Doc is usually recommended with a melee template (MSwords and TKA defense is nice). If you already have ranged suport branch from marksman you save some SP by taking CM. You can ofcourse mix as you want

Well ,

Here goes nothing, and you can take this for whats it worth. My guild is somewhat jedi heavy, rifleman heavy with BH alts and plenty of crafters. One little problem that they forgot about. Only 2 docs and one is an alt. Now, when my guild goes on the offensive they call in the "ole doc". You have a group of eight jedi vs a group of 7 jedi with 1 doc. My friend I would bet the 7 w/ a doc is gonna win EVERY time. The docs ppl have speed, health, action and with pub 19-- mind. Guess what else, it all stacks with foods and spices with no negative effects.

Ok reason 2, we have been making some serious high level MOB runs lately and guess who is on the invite everytime now? The "ole doc". When we go in and ppl fall, the rest of the squad rallies and the doc heals buffs and rez's like a mad man. Not only is it fun for me, AHEM best damn prof I have ever played to date, but the smallest things like a buff heal or a rez in the DWB goes along way. People are always happy to have us around just for safty.

Also, its a great feeling in mass pvp when your side realizes there is a doc putting them back in the fight with NO DECAY. We run over pop them back to life and boom lay a buff on em. Your team can afford a few mess ups cause we will always be lurking to bring them right back to life. In theed the last time we pvp's I rex'd 5 people and handed out over 20 buffs , and healed about 1000 wounds. GREAT FEELING, if your not a jedi you just want to be needed. If you like being the go to guy here is the proff for ya man.

I have played so many proffs post and pre CU and I didnt have much fun until I grinded that last box of master doc. Yes I did not respec, I was a smuggler, BH , TKM, Pikeman, Commando, armorsmith, weaponsmith, and Ive done almost all of em. I have never played aproff where I felt like a crucial team member, not just a soilder. This prof can almost make you smile whenone of your guildies gives you a cheer, or a noob thanks you cause he has been searching for a wound heal for hours.Yep cant say enough about it man. For me there is no other choice, the smuggler forums where fun, BH was a rush, they all had there ups and downs.

DOC IS THE BEST PROFF IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Former everything, New doc................

I've been thinking about moving over to Doc from Master Artisan, and all the reasons you list are kind of why it seemed like a good profession to me -- now that I see someone confirm it so enthusiastically, I'm convinced I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks, that was a really great post.

From what I understand doc 4004 is almost as good as master doc.

4xxx gives you all the healing
xxx4 gives you the buffs (poplar withforPvP)
doc buffs are what they were, but a buffed player will pwn a non-buffed player almost every time.

im a MR/MD/CM 4xxx from what i have seen with my temp the CM uses both action and mind the Docs uses almost no action (if none)...MD is all mind leaving all your attack specials to use your action (unless your a proff that uses mind) for me the RM uses all action and no mind the doc uses all mind... very balanced in my book.

ifa team member is down to a crunch and i cant get to athat personin time to use bshot "heals 1700" or jab "heals 800" i hit everyone with bspray "heals 1000" then try and hit with the shot (ican use btoss it is fast healing but stops me from doing anything else for a sec it even stops me from running. what gets me capped or even killed more then anything else is hunting in a group and hitting the BSPRAYa few times even with the %50 reduc in pub 19 i whenheal for 8k+ damage (this can be in just 1 bspray imagine 2 or 3 times) i get everything and thier mother mad at me.

bottom line play what you feel like playing. people that are MCM love it. people that play MD love it.

MD has no attacks but the heals are better and has buffs, MCM does have attacks they even havea MCM pistol (hence COMBAT Medic)
