Yes. I wanted a story driven path....not one that requires crazy amounts of pointless grinding and hundreds of trips to some stupid village. So sue me for wanting a game that's fun.

1-This isnt supposed to be easy
2-There will be combat type people constantly at the village. set up camp there to heal wounds/buff
3-dath is a perfect place to join a group and heal the hell out of people
4-if ur a doc/combat medic ur useless in most areas of the game except specifically HEALING.
Sorry, but I'd actually like to ENJOY the game, rather than camping on Dath for the rest of my life.
And since when is a GAME supposed to be work? I don't mind waiting a year to open up my slot, but 600+ trips to the village, just to get 4 of the 6 needed trees (that's almost 2 per day for a year, for the math challenged), is pretty insane.
A combat profession can get all 6 branches in just over 100 trips. Call me crazy, but that's a bit uneven.

Dude, going out and hunting with a group IS part of the game. Getting Experiance for healing group mates, and resurrecting them (thats my prefered method, coz then u can rez, heal, and rebuff. talk about xp *grins*) is part of being a Dr.
As for the initial role of a Dr, the thought was for you to sit in a med center and heal those who need it. U KNOW that you have other means of getting xp for the conversion. Are you telling me you are a combat medic/dr? coz NO dr i know would pull that template. Its not a fun template by any means.
ok, so they raise the cap, woo whoo, u still have to do the same things to get that experiance dont you? so how does it change anything? you still have to camp and heal to get ur xp, now u just dont have to make so many trips to aurillia. U are STILL doing the same thing for the xp, make 1 trip to aurillia, camp it, and buff out of it, heal out of it, do everything u need to, out of aurillia. that will cut down how many times you need to go to it right?

Yes, I agree....that's all fine, but you will max your xp in 30 minutes doing whatever it is that Docs do. On top of that, when is the last time anyone went hunting in a group? Who needs a doc to come with you, when you've got buffs and armor.
The point is, no matter how you chose to get Med xp,just to fill the 4 sense branches, you have to return to the village twice a day for almost a year to covert XP. The only real option is to camp there.
So my only point, is that the XP cap should be raised, not that the xp requirements should be reduced. Heck, they can just raise if for Master Docs, and Master CMs, if the unusually low cap (only 1.5 times the highest xp requirement) is there to make leveling more difficult.

Dr's already have one of the better conversion rates anyways, if you scream 'RAISE THE EXP CAP' all thats gonna happen is that it will be raised to 120k xp or so and then the xp conversion rate will be changed to be the same as a swordsman, and then ull cry 'MOVE THE CONVERSION BACK'
just deal with it, the system isnt broken, its fine. leave it alone. everyone cries and it winds up making the game worse. just live with the system the way it is, its not as bad as ur making it out ot be, it COULD be a hell of alot worse.
and crying usually makes it worse.
I'm not crying about anything...I'm making a suggestion to make the system more manageable, both for players and, incidentally, the servers.
There's a post on another forum where people seem to agree that increasing XP caps for master, across the board, would be a good idea. The reason: because otherwise Dathomir is going to be unplayable.
50% of the player population will be camping on Dath. It's certainly not worth leaving, when pretty much any master profession can hit their xp cap in an hour or two.
