Got some devistating(in a virtual, role playing sorta of way)news on Monday... my best friend in SWG informed me that he is quitting SWG, without any chance of returning. As far as we know, he was the very first Master Combat Medic on our server (char. is also a Master Doctor). It was a very well known character for sure... he was a very honest and generous player. I'm very sad to see him go.I have inheirited 3 accounts now: Master CM/Master Doc, Master CH/Master Pistoleer, and a Master BE. I have another friend taking over the BE, but I will be keeping the Doc and CH.

I've grown up in SWG playing my Rifleman/Ranger and Chef/DE, so I'm totally lost when it comes to CM or Doc.

I guess my question is this.... what would you all do if you were me? I'm probably going to drop the Chef/DE account since it was strictly used to make money to fund my main. I have more money that I will likely ever be able to spend, plus enough buffs to buff myself through (hopefully) all of the Jedi quests. It seems a shame to just use the character as a buff whore. Is med crafting "fun"? If you think so, why? I really enjoyed Chef and DE, but for some reason the thought of med crafting makes me shy away. I will definitely need a break from Combat, which crafting is good for.

Hope all that makes sense... I'm trying to wrap my brain around the whole thing myself. Literally spent hours over the last 3 days sorting out items in houses from these 3 accounts, PLUS another 2 accounts from another friend that is quitting. Needless to say, I've hit the SWG Lotto.

I'm probably biased but doctor is probably one of my favorite professions in the game.

Personally Id keep the cm/doc. If you like pvp much at all, there is alot of fun to be had in in this combination. Arguably I'd say a cm/doc in a group is far busier than the fighters your keeping alive.

I think doc crafting is fun personally. Getting that extra % point or finding the perfect combination of gas/avian is always a treat. It takes the mindset of a perfectionist (or a money whore ) to want to be a successful crafter.

If he didn't have lots of resources stocked then you'd probably be better off just making him a buff-bot. If he had a decent amount then maybe try experimenting and finding out what works and then watching the spawns on your server. Building up resources and learning how to craft can be alot of fun (and a lot of work). Good luck.

Doctor crafting is by far one of the most fun crafting professions in the game... albeit I think that tailoring is awesome too lol
