Not sure if this idea has been floated before:

In addition to making a TEF warning message that has been suggested, what about making TEF Line of Sight?

If I heal an Overt Reb in my house in the boonies, why does every Imp in the galaxy want my head. How did they find out? Peeking through my window? Or did hidden cameras broadcast on the holonet ?

The only ones who should get TEF on you are the ones who actually saw you perform the deed.

I posted that idea with some variation recently. since only Jedis have psychic powers TEF should be line of site .

I also sugested that covert players can "snich" on other covert players to give themTEF within a short time period of the deed and snitching would be considered TEF action too . if overt sees you do a TEF action you get TEF and since all faction NPCs are overt you'll still get tef for doing missions.

I also sugested a way for overts to challenge suspected coverts every few hours posibly if they snitched recently the overts can go on a "witch hunt" to find the spy.

I remember the prerelease discussion on Jedi TEFs. We were told that only people who SAW the Jedi use force powers were able to attack him. I just assumed they would have used the same code for any other TEFs as well.
