Thread: Doctors need to heal bleeds better
healing bleed victims is absollutely unacceptable as it is right now. especially mind bleeds that do 700 a hit. and it takes almost 10 tries to actually get it stopped.
at least CMs have to go thru hell to gather their resources(im a master cm too) for poisonsand doctors can heal that in 1 shot.
WE are doctors. we might not be able to cure all states like flame attacks but healing bleed should be something a master doctor can heal in at least 2 tries, at least better than a novice medics can. perhaps adding a new medicine? i dunno but as it is right now is unacceptable.
I have not yet tried using the new bleed enhancement tissues BEs can make but if those dont help, well, bleeds are overpowered.

I agree with what you have here. I think an advanced /fristaid2 in the doc line would be valuable and realistic....maybe 1 that healed at 6x med use instead of 3x (the new coefficient).
However, eventually I think what we really need to seek out is a cap on bleeders. These things can stack to the point that bleeds exceed stimE input, and that's just silly. I was trying to heal a graul mauler on Dant last week and 3 tribesmen stacks such a bleeder on it that me (MD) and a master medic were struggling to keep it alive using our best stims (and I had BE tissue outfit and a 110% droid out).
I think both need to be examined.

Actually a 700 point bleed would take exactly 7 times to stop. Each time you do /firstaid as a master medic it reduces the bleed by 100 points. I would assume that if you had skill tapes bringing your Injury Treatment mod up it would heal more bleeding. It does always work, but when you have huge bleeds (I've seen 2k bleeds on pets before) it can take a while.

it gets to a point where its ridiculous since all your doing is trying to stop the bleed. perhaps bleeds should suffer a 75% pvp reduction like everything else or, better yet, new medicine to control bleeding called soemthing like bandages to help heal it in one shot. it may also be less confusing to just merge all the states cures to make for less inventory space(dizzy, stun, intimidate)
I think pushing a 75% reduction on the tick damage of bleeds is a slippery slope because that begins doing it for all DOTs. Lot of people going to cry foul (and yes i'd be one of them).
But I think that you can address durations which are insufferably long in PvP wiht a 75% duration cut and in the end you do need a cap on how much your cumulative bleed rate can be.
