Actually, what I think would be nice is if there was a command to see who was actually on duty at a med center. For example, if I opened the planetary map and saw that Nym's Stronghold Medical Center was staffed, I might like to do something like this:
/registered:medical
This might retrieve a list of doctors at the nearest medical center, somewhat like doing a search of a /who. That way, if I'm 2k meters out and want to come in for wound treatment, I could see who is in the med center and simply send them a tell asking them how long they'll be there.

Ugh. I wouldn't want to receive /tells from people on their way while I'm in a med center. I already keep my character anonymous from the /who function because I was getting non-stop /tells to heal pets. It's time-intensive enough just to interact with the patients that are in front of me and to craft the meds that I run out of while I'm healing.

Right now we know that you can /register at a med center and everyone can tell from the planetary map (CTRL-V) that the med center has someone on duty. However, there is no way to know if someone is on the way for help. I think on the planetary map we need an option (right now you can click and create a waypoint) to 'report injuries'. This could send a system message to all registered at that location that "BlackBar McWounds is 1105M away and has 572 points of wounds." This will give the healers on duty a heads up that someone is on their way. And if the doctor leaves the med center then our banged up hero can receive a message "Medical Center at Nym Stronghold is no longer registered." This can automaticly shut off when the injured enters the med center, much like a doctors registration ends when he leaves the med center. This can work for entertainers that are registered too. They can get a message like "Igot BeatenUp is 1532M away and has 351 points of wounds and 473 battle fatigue." I know I would have hung out a the Med Center longer if I knew someone was coming in for treatment.
