Thread: Things I wanted to know about buffing and am not afriad to ask.
I just became a master doctor last night. I am loving the buffing business.
Below is a list of things that I wanted to know if it effects your buffing results:
Your droid type, level, or power (energy).
Your wounds on any stat.
Your battle fatigue.
If you arein a medical center, with or without a droid.
If your mind is buffed by drugs, or by a dancer/musician.
The type of enchance d's.
the type of or quality of resource used to make them.
The person you are buffing's wounds and/or battle fatigue.
I am really wanting to know what I need to look out for.
I can help you with a few of your questions...
Droid type... no differenceas far as I can tell, as long as you have the level 6 med unit in your droid.
Wounds...not sure, don't think they effect the buff value, but will of course subtract from the total possible until they are healed
Battle Fatigue...as with other meds, battle fatigue will detrimentally effect their potency, but doctors dont get a messagetelling them that their meds wereaffected unlesstheir patient's battle fatigue is excessive... over500 or so.
Medical Center...I think there are bonuses that doctors get in med centers, but I dont know if they stack with droid bonuses
Mind...doesnt seem to make a difference to the value of the buffs
Type of enhance D's... this is where ALL of the difference comes into play. The base rating of the enhancement pack is the single most important value in the calculation of the resulting buff. The higher the better. A good pack is in the 800's, and the best that I have made was 911. They could be better, with elite resources.
Type of resource...not particularly, as long as the resources you are using contain high values in all of the important stats (oq, pe, dr, ut) depending on the specific pack you are making.
Quality of the resources...extremely important. This will make or break your meds.
Other than that, there seems to be a randomizer that creates values between a max and min that is determined by the quality of the pack and your skill level+bonuses. I think the multiplier rangeis around 1-3.5X, based on the numbers I have gotten. (a pack rated at 860 has given me as small as 865 and as large as 2900).
Good luck with your buffs!

There are different medical modules that can be put into a droid when it is crafted. Depending upon the type of module that is installed, some droids have better healing ratings than others. The best rating I have seen is 110, which is 110% (slightly better than the 100% granted by a medical center). I'm not sure if that is granted by a level 6 medical module or 2 stacked level 4 medical modules - that would be a good question for a droid engineer.
But, if you tell a good droid engineer that you need a droid with a medical module rating of 110, they should know what to do.

Also a very good question I forgot about is, what if there is a group of doctors, medics, combat medics, whatever, and I buff is the result better? You know like with entertainers.
Not that anyone knows of.
Ok Ok, my server is down right now, but I did see my med lvl for the droids is 110. Does it matter what batteries I use to power it with, or is there only one kind?

Only one kind of battery. I just make sure I recharge the droid before I buff. You can also get clothing with +25 wound and injury treatment BE components in them. This will help you with a 25% boost to your buffs. I've gotten 3000+ buffs with an 810 power pack. Plus I have only gotten 2 buffs below 1000 since I got the clothing 2 months ago.
