Thread: Cure Poison/Disease: B packs needed?
Should I craft these to place on my vendor just for nostalgia purposes? I can't really see the benifit to having them on my vendor. Most doctors have Med use 90 (if they're not planing to master), so i can bring my C's down on the med use required, and then just carry A's for the lower, starters.
Is this a good idea? I just want to limit what I'm putting on my vendor with the upcoming Merchant changes, and save myself the resources
Just another question:
Would it be a good idea just to carry B's, C's, and E's in terms of Stiim and Wound packs? A lot of people get upto Pharm 3, with their left over skill points(save 5 points by not getting Pharm 4).
E's just eat up too many resources and components to be useful.
One way around that is to use standard BECs in Stim Es. With a standard CDRM and standard BECs (and Advanced LS of course), you can make a very nice Stim E that uses fewer resources than a good Stim D. It will have more power, butfewer charges (but not by much).
My standard Stim E - 1000 power, 50 charges - 176 resources used (standard CDRM used)
My budget Stim E - 1000 power, 40 charges - 104 resources used (standard CDRM and BECs)
My standard Stim D - 800 power, 45 charges - 132 resources used (standard CDRM)
The budget E is the most efficient use of resources and it gives you a better heal than the D for those few occasions when you need a really, really big heal guaranteed.

I use wound pack Bs, stimpacks Cs, cure disease and poison As. Stim Cs are good enough for players IMO, if you have to heal pets a lot Ds or Es would be worth it.
But you still need to look at efficiency of resources when crafting. A well made Stim C (ABEC, ALS, standard CDRM) will be around 600/40 and use 92 resources. For an extra 12 resources, you can get 400 more power in the budget E with the same charges. Why wouldn't you do that? Particularly if you hunt with players who are routinely buffed.
For sale, the 30 med use Stim Cs are absolutely great sellers. But for personal use, I have seen no compelling reason to not use Stim Es. They don't have to be more expensive to craft.
I like to know that when I drop a Stim-E on someone that really needs it, those 2k HAM bars fill up again.

This is exactely my point. To use a C stim, you only need to invest23 points in Medic(pharm 3, then get the doc to invest exp points inskill req.), while to use an E stim, you have to master it, using an additional 54 points.
There's a lot of people that pick up novice Medic on my server so they can heal themselves, and the majority of them only get upto Pharm 3, and save the extra 5 points to get Pharm 4 (so D's out). This is shown in a MBH template where they have to use left over skill points sparingly.

You'll get no argument from me on this. Pharm 3 is a very efficient use of skill points.
But I get perplexed when doctors talk about using Stim Cs or Ds for personal use instead of Es.

Thanks so much for the info... I am going doc and asked a master doc to make some standard E's like you suggested....he got 1095 heal with 49 charges. Not bad for using easier to get resources for the regular CDRM and BEC. These are definetly what I will use for my personal use once I can make them.
