The way i see it is if you take a side in this GCW and you have a TEF from buffing an overt then you are open to die and it's your fault. I personally don't buff overts because i don't want a TEF

yea but no one has even showed me what a overt or tefed person LOOKS like..

When i die it looks like a glitch on the person (if i ever find out who-ever the person is) where he/she looks normal and all.

Ether that or the person is tef'd or just the game is Screwy.

I buff a person where he/she looks overt or tef'di get no tef and im fine.

SO wtff?

TEF = Target. If I don't want the tef, I don't buff overt/flagged. It's war. I take my lumps and try to dish em out when I can. If others are bugging about it, I say make sure you have protection if you're gonna do it or be prepared for the ramifications. Doesn't matter when or where, if your a target your a target. Got vaped in the med center once by an Imp whenI was just starting out. Was Imad? Bet your a$$ I was. Heck I even sent many many tells to my killer. He then said the very words I started with:

Overt players will have a Imp/Reb symbol to the Left of their names. TEF's will also have a symbol but I have noticed that you have to be carefull here, sometimes it does notshow right away when you /con a tef'd pc. Also, if you let your cursor linger over the pc, it should show the faction symbol. If it goes away, they are most likely covert and you should not get a tef. If it stays, they are overt/flagged. Another thing to watch out for is if a player has just shuttled in or just logged on and they were overt before they logged/shuttled. There is a delay upon getting on or landing before they go overt again. I have found that, unfortunately, if you buff these types of pc's, you will more than likely incur the tef even if they show as covert.

A simple way to combat this is to just askthe like-factioned pc that you are about to buff whether they are overt or have a tef. If you want to be discreet, just do it in a tell.

But i know how Imperials are overt and all, i never get a tef from them.

I don't know how Rebels are Overt.

I don't know how Anyone is Tef'd (does not show is all i can Figure out)

I rarely get a tef and i only got killed with a big line twice before.

But i've never figured out whitch ones to look out for.

ok. hmm. few questions.

are you factionaly aligned?

if you are, do you have any faction points to the oposite faction

if you are not, do you have one faction that is higher than the other?
