These are the updates notes posted last night about TC... They got deleted after a bit but the thread is still there I believe. Please support the merchant communauty by posting here.

Bazaar/Vendor

  • Vendors that are empty will no longer be visible on the planetary map (Ctrl-V).

  • Vendors that have been left empty or abandoned for two weeks will be deleted (owner will receive a warning message prior to deletion).

  • Email notifications have been added to advise vendor owners of the status of their vendor.

  • Fixed a bug that caused items to sometimes vanish from vendors.

  • Vendor item limits will now be based on player skill. (Players over either limit will not be able to add new items for sale on vendors).

I found these changes posted in "In Testing" earlier today. Now I can't find the post. They've deleted it.

Whatever...I'm SO tired of having to fight tooth and nail every day to try to keep these people from screwing us. And I'm not just talking about them screwing one profession. It's like they have decided to put all the changes in that they KNOW will enrage their current player base, and then are counting on JTL to replace all the cancelled accounts.

Even if they come back with a complete retraction, I'm done

This is the dumbest move yet.....lets add loot kits which require assembly on top of an already overloaded database!

Ok. When I see a thread about this I type the same thing so here goes:

I have no problem with the change. On one condition. If I am going to lose my vendor that I sell items off of and have to sell off my person, then make the storage capacity on the2 houses and 3 factories that I own much much larger. Irl I have over150 items alone in my desk that I sit behind to play this game as well as more than 150 items at my desk at work. I do not own any factories irl but I think I can safely say that if I did, they each would hold more than 100 items each.

This is why the devs are doing this in the first place! Most players with vendors use them to sell items. The players who abuse the vendor system by using it for storage are the ones that force the devs to hurt everyone else by making a fix like this. The whole community should be upset about the vendor item limit, because selection will be reduced to nothing when you go shopping. Crafters will really have to specialize just to have vendors stocked with more than one of each item. This will lead to either lots of people dropping crafting professions, or no competition between specializations so that prices skyrocket. I mean, if there is only one vendor on the north side of Naboo that sells polearms, that player can charge whatever he wants! (It's hard enough finding polearms now!)

I'm sure there is a solution to stop storage on vendors that is not meant to be sold to the public. Most players think the devs are just being mean by not offering more storage space in houses and such, but we're dealing with physical memory logistics that SOE doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg to improve (as tons of memory added toeach server would be quite expensive). We can't do anything about that unless the public donates hardware to SOE. We can, however, come up with solutions to abuses of vendor storage that doesn't include harming legitimate uses.

    I'm done ranting now.

Alright I agree lets get rid of empty vendors and also be rid of the vendors for those who choose not to maintain them. As for the storage, have any of you tried using your factories? They hold alot of stuff. .Don't take items out of the hoppers unless you are placing them for sale or using them to make more stuff.

As for the Master Docs out there...hospitals hold 250 items. I hold everything I need in 1 hospital and 2 factories and the hospital is completly decorated. That is a total of 5 lots. I still have 5 lots to use to place harvestors or houses and factoriesfor storage.

As for the limit on the vendor, I have a merchant who sells for me. I sell stuff so fast that I have a hard time keeping 110 itmes on my vendor. Why? Because I don't charge an arm and a leg. I can sell stuff cheap because I use my altor my guildies to help gather the resources I need.

Ok that was my 2 cents.

I honestly see nothing wrong with the first two items. I think that folks are tired of traveling to multiple vendors just to find them completely empty. If a vendor is empty, it shouldn't be on the map imho. As for the other changes I am a bit upset. I have a second toon that is a master weaponsmith/master merchant and I use a vendor for storage. This is going to really impede my ability to collect resources and store them.
