I saw this poll in the weaponsmith forum and thought it would be interesting to see how long it took the 12pt docs to cap.
It took me about 6 months and 16 mil. I got lucky with a high end tape, and was able to work a trade in for a tusken mask a while back when they were rare.

About 3 months and 10 million total money spent, i got very lucky with mine and got several 4's and a 6 plus the apron

Maybe 5 million at most, but I had great friends who gave most of it to me.

I got lucky, I looted a +ten at the bat caves, then I spent about 3 weeks getting anuther +10 for my 20, ended up costing me about 15 million (my server is gorath). I got some offers for the +10 over 35 million, but I wouldn't sell it.

I got my +20 suit about a month ago. It consists of a +14 which i paid 17 mill for, an apron which was 500k, and a cheezy +1 that a friend sold to me for 400k. Recently, I paid 750k for a +4 med assembly. So I'm at +20 experimentation, and +9 aseembly.

What NPCs typically drop med experimentation tapes? Or is is completely random?
I've been looking for a while and have never seen one drop.

Single +25 Medical Experimentation SEA, Used 4 hours after SOE fixed the SEA bug and allowed it to be used.

i'm pretty sure it's random... I just got a +4 off a pirate in Lok. I think a general rule of thumb is the harder the NPC, the higher chance of a loot drop and the higher chance of a rare item (higher stat CA for example).

Got my 12points close to 8 months ago. I got a +22 Medical Exp belt for 4 million =P
