I was out looking for resources to make buffs(specifically to make Advanced Solid Delivery Shells), and I was surveying for domesticated oats and wondered whether this was good or not. The overall quialty is 948, but the potential energy is 442. I know that the porduct will be based on the 66% overall quality and the 33% potential energy. I have not located any dolovite iron yet to use.

It is good, but as always, there is better... Domesticated Oats with OQ 900+ PE 800+ will probably spawn before you find any harvestable Dolovite Iron.
Good luck

There is no dolovite iron at the moment to find, avian meat is also scarce, there's good reactive gas to be found tho..
about the oats, this is what i'd look for:
Etes Lokian Domesticated Oats

The other thing I could add to thisis that even though the OQ and PE are listed as 66% and 33% in the schematic, they are actually contribute equally for dom oats in aSDS. This is because the dolovite iron does not have a PE rating.
Have a look through the Doctor Crafting FAQ in the sticky links at the top of the forum to find out all about resource evaluation. There's a lot of math involved, but it lays it out pretty well if you read through it a couple times (ok maybe 6 or 7)...

Its a good resource, and if you find better dom oats harvest those too. It never hurts to harvest resources for like 1-2cpu, especially when you might have to pay like 5-10 if you didn't harvest themself yourself.
