Thread: Different duration for buffs.

I'm not really trying to ranting or complain, I'mjust curious why some doctors have buff packs with different timer on one or two of the six? Usually its the buff used for the action pool and sometimes, this makes it harder to renew the buffs, and these doctors usually do not inform the people they are buffing that one of the buffs has an extra long duration e.g. all other buffs are around 2.2K - 2.4K and last for a little over three hours, while the actionpool's buff is 2.3K-2.5K andlast three hours fourty minutes. I know it might be the materials used, but why do they make buffs with different timer for buffing people? As I am not a doctor, I can't think of any reasons myself, please enlighten me. Thanks.

Because of Dev ignorance.
5 Enhance D's take avian meat.
Action enhansers do not.
Since Avian meat is so damn expensive...thanks again to the Devs. A lo of Docs use high stat organics instead of the same Avian meat used int he other 5 enhansers.

For some unknown reason all thetopbuff packs except Action use avian meat and reactive gas, Action uses any inorganic and any organic.
Since duration is governed by quality and decay resistance using different ingredients makes Action buff different (and the range of ingredients being greater means that Action can be made significantly longer duration and saves valiable avian meat).
I make all my buff packs using the same avian meat and reactive gas for precisely the reason that you quoted - its a pain to a person if one buff lasts alot longer than another. On the other hand if you get re-buffed with the same or better packs the new buff can over-ride the old one.

Lazy docs. Its the only reason. A good doc will find the 2 different rescources for the action buff, that matches the timer for the others to within about 5 mins.
If its off by 15 mins or more, sit in front of him and spam to other players that they are.
P.S. Most docs who have buffs with the same duration and are selling them, will say so in their spam.

It also has to do with poor or small-time doctors.
I mean i know I can craft buff packs and have different times or base results using the EXACT same components, depending on assembly/experimentation. I usually go through bout 40-50 ACRDMs/20-25ASDS/ and too many ABECs and tons of meat/gas making sure all my schems turn out the same before I factory em in...
Perfect example is experimentation today.. 10 points can max out the base/duration one time.. and the next time it takes 11
So now i got less charges on the scheme by like 2...
Now imagine your a poor doc and you don't got like severalk more of that resource to just trash the schem...

There are many factors to this problem but in the longrun we are lucky that this exist. It helps conserve avian which is always in demand. There are three main factors that cause this problem and I will present you the crafters view.
Power
-Most times your avian meat makes less powerfull action packs so youuse a better flora resource with better stats to make the power over 900 usually between 930-950.
-Since we are at the will of shifting resouces you don't always have a lot of choices for these flora resouces.
Charges
-The problem here is UT, reactive gas does not have UT so if you use a metal like iron or steel that has high OQ, Decay, and UT then you get a better overall product with better charges.

Duration
-I for one collect resources of all types and I try different combos to see what I get, even with collecting all these resources there are usually only a few rare resources that make good action packs that solve the top two problems, these spawn from time to time and you don't always catch them. Therefore its just easier to keep your action packs the same as much as possible, if you trade out resources because of duration you get people complaining about weak powered action packs. Remember this is an ever shifting science, sometimes we will have unity between all stats, other times there will be small differences, I am sorry you have to wait 15minutes for your action buff to wear off but I am stuck with what I have to work with, if I can get them close, and I usually do then I will, but I am at the will of what I have to work with.
