Hi I was wondering if I could get some tips or advise from some good pvp docs out there.Im new to pvp doc and im trying to find out what I need to do help out my team mates the best I can. Im interested in things like hot keys, macros, who to target in a grp and when, stratagey, distance to battle, ect. Any meaningful advise would be appreciated thanks.

If you want to be the best doctor possible then just /follow the best CM/Rifleman that you have and make sure he doesn't fall to other poisons. Sad, but true.

Also make sure you fully (poison + disease resist also) everyone in your group. Basically you'll be in god mode.

Depends what your combat prof is with doc (Fencer, Swords, Rifler, TKM) only ones I can think off, easiest maybe Rifler, Swords will be expensive to speedcap and get an acklay hammer, Fencer/TKM are easy but might be less effective in PVE.

Pfft, who say's doctors can't be good Pvpers too?

I'm a doctor ~ teras kasi master, one of the most active rebel pvper's on my server, I hold my own

What I try to do, instead of using defenses against states, I just counter that with heals!!

Flame blankets, poison, disease cures, stims,those are all your friends.

Also.. since your a doctor, you always want to be prepared. I stack my mind buffs high.. Double music/dance buffs with brandy, ahrisa.. Always have poison resist buffs.. I use steak(synthsteak helps ALOT), canape, fire resist food, knockdown food, muons gold.. stacking foods and stuff helps alot.

I'm not the best pvper as a doctor, tkm. But, I can say I can take any melee person as long as they stick to melee and they don't have some super duper DOTs.. Ranged is another story though.. Ranged always beats out melee in the end.. so not much I can do about that.

When it comes to dueling though, I win the majority of my duels Especially to defense stackers and other TKMs.

Exploiting their mind pool, or action(say if their not wearing armor)

When it comes to raids and big pvping battles.. I'm not a factor in killing anything other then being a damage tank. Since I can heal myself, I just take turrent and ATST damage.. I always have all my state cures on one toolbar, my attacks on another(including intimidate and warcry) then stims, res packs, area cures, etc.. on the last tool bar.

It really depends on your template. I was a Master CM and Doctor before.. Used a spraystick and laser rifle with headshot2.. Worked well except I couldn't PvE well.. If you want to be a Pvping Doctor, the best compliment is CM skills..

OoOOo I wanted to say also that any mind hits from ranged is another story.. I can beat master pistoleers no problem, just that eye shot and rifle people always get me

/what Raeanna said,

although my recommendation would be to look after yourself first before healing anyone, when you do make sure you leave plenty of mind spare, plenty of times I've layed 6 or 7 heals in a row to the group only for a rifleman to take out the rest of my mind.

Leave damage to CM's due to the 7m range limitation and let all your group know that they have to come to you if possible. Spend any non-combat time reapplying resist buffs (saves a lot of heals/mind)and if you have a ranged prof, take care when healing the melee in the group whilethey're tanking as you'll be in melee range and taking a lot of damage.

Get a stand/heal dizzy macro in your toolbar (there's a few posted on the forum, you'll find them with a search or in the stickies) and keep your focus high with music buffs, ahrisa and brandy. It's also worth keeping a cheap MSE droid with you so you can heal any flamethrower/disease wounds on the spot.

Oh.. I use a combat medical droid for combat use.. LE Repair or Probot works well.. If it has combat mods it doesn't run

Just find a droid engineer to make you one Combat, Medical, Storage is my preferred choice.

just cus your a doctor doesnt mean you cant fight.

last night i stood up to 2 tka's and a jedi + 40 reb mods for a whole 30 seconds.

they got annoyed with trying to get states to stick for longer than 5 seconds so they snuffed me with damage

It seems people covered all the bases about food, etc... If u want to help your teammates, I would suggest completeing a combat class with good defence. I'm a master fencer, which makes it more difficult for people to hit me, therefore making it easier for me to heal those needing it.

Good hot keys to have;

/dragplayer

this will drag someone to you to heal them if they are down.

/healstate

this will heal any state that u have dizzy, intimidate,blind, or stun. just make sure the medicine for those cures are in your inventory

/healdamage

this willcure damagewith whatever stim you have in your invenory

/healpoision

/healdisease

make 2 hotkeys that are cure disease and poison and make sure that medicine is in your inventory

Im not sure what the cure fire command is, but i do knowthe hot key isin your "other" macro buttons. Put that one in your hotkeys for sure, and again, make sure you have the fire blanket in your inventory.

I keep hot key for a dizzy knock down when someone notices I'm a doc and comes after me. This is an essential macro to have IMO. I named it DK

/stand;

/healstate dizzy;

you may need to spam this key untill u stand and cure it, but keep doing it.

I also made macros to enhance as well. I named the command "enhance". Make sure to eat mind foods like arisha and brandy, as well as havla so u can healenhance one after another. I wrote the macro as follows;

/healenhance health;

/healenhance strenth;

/healenhance constitution;

/healenhance action;

/healenhance quickness;

/healenhance stamina

This will allow you to get your teammates to get on the battlefield right away.

Also, have the poison enhance and disease enhances as well. Hit yourself and your teamates with this. It will help a little bit to keep diseases and poisions from sticking and, if you have a C resist, it will help the tick. IMO i think this is just a way to give u time to do a cure on your teammates.

If your a doc and want to beon the frontlines i really suggest haveing a master combat class, otherwise, you'll have to rely on someone guarding you. If youdont have a guard, you will have to hope that that the opposition dosen't notice you (and thats unlikely).

More than anything, practice makes perfect, so join as many battles you can, and tailor yourdoc abilitiesto your fighting style and that of your teammates. Knowing how to work as a team is essential in pvp battles.

Goodluck out there!

I use all healstate/poison-disease-fire heals in a single macro, also I use a stand+healstate dizzy macro which doesn't work as effectively as it used to due to 3 second heal cap. I try to stay out of combat the longest I can to support my groupmates more.
