Is there any way to be a 12 point doc without the skilltapes?

nope. U need a crafters apron which gives +5 to experimentation then u need another +15 to get the points. very hard to do.

Wait... a +5 apron? Is that a +5 med experimentation or just a regular experimentation apron? What does it do for a doc? Does +5 provide anything?

That gives you +5...or 1/2 a point.


Each +10 gives you 1 point.

Forgot something else.


The hard cap for most skills is +125.


So the best you could ever do is +100 for the profession, and +25 for the skill tapes and other stuff.


Since each +10 gives you 1 Experimentation point....You get a max of 12.5 points....Being that they round down.....you are left with 12 points for experimentation

So it really gives you nothing since .5 points is rounded to zero? Also, does the crafter apron give you med experimentation points or general crafting experimentation points?

The doctor's crafting apron has +5 to medicine experimentation. That is half of what you need to get an extra point with which to experiment when crafting. The reason that 12 points is the most you can have is that the modifier bonus from clothing is capped at +25. It takes +10 to the modifier to grant an additional experimentation point.


Edit: There are crafting aprons for doctors, chefs, tailors and architects. Each one has experimentation bonuses that are specific to that profession.
