Thread: Factory Crate Idea/Solution

Well, we know that factories ignore the last crate of any component, but does see anything more than 1. So if you put in 2 crates of 50, it produces 50 final products. So why don't we just create 101 of the subcomponents (med schematics can have 1000 uses if you type it in). That way, you put 3 crates in (put the singleton last), and then wouldn't it make a run of 100?

Actually that doesn't really seem to be the case. I usually "prime the pump" from two crates. I tend to get runs taht actually stop somewhere into crate 2, like it pulled a few items before it stopped. It may simply be a kind of timeout issue, but who really knows without seeing the code. The bug is just too inconsistent.

I have seen it too when it just pulls out from crate 2. It seems to stop or at least for me at 25 so half way through crate 2... What I do now is just have enough inorganics/organics for 50..

Using two crates of each and pulling out a few of the comps into the hopper the factory actually made me two full crates of stims last night, using all the comps in all crates. This has never ever happened to me before. It seems a bit random how much it will pull or not.
