Thread: Enough all ready...doctors have a mind heal
you just cant use it all the time...
and its only usable on corpses...
but heck its more then anyother class in the game has...
Well, not unless you pick up one of those damage stims as loot or that a beginning Medic character has. Then anyone with Med Use 5 can heal a bit of mind as well, without needing to have the patient "die" first.
I still don't think it invalidates the need for some kind healing on the mind. That's not to say the DOCTORS need to have that ability. I only think it should be looked at a bit more seriously by the Dev team, is all.

Wouldn't it be neat to get rid of Mind Damage during a fight, but assign then a random amount of Mind Damage and Mind Wounds AFTER the fight? The more prolonged the fight the more likely you get a CRITICAL Mind Blow? Like, TRUE Shell Shock? hehe...
Picture this: You and your friends are out doing some hunting. You take down a 10K mob... and afterwards, you have a one/couple/few group members drop incap'd ( that would be a CRITICAL Event and not necessarily thr norm)from Mind Damage. All the stress of fighting really got to them!
We kind of have a stat for that BF...
I think that mind damage should just be removed...give snipers massive damage to both H and A at the same time...
make the effects of BF mure more severe then they are now...
they just mixed concepts badly. Battle fatigue comes from fighting a lot (or dying), those are more psychological problems that entertainers should heal. Mind damage/wounds come from physical injuries, shots to the head, etc. These should be healable by doctors/combat medics.
There's an obvious unbalance in the game, 3 types of health bars, 3 types of weapons each affecting one different bar, only 2 of those bars are healable, that means the other weapon is inherently more dangerous than the other 2.
Ok it is here on the board in a few different places but this is all you need to do to heal mind damage at ANY TIME. Also you must have wound treatment master.
1) In your inventory put a rez kit or 2 in it.
2) MOVE all stim's to your backpack/bag etc..
3) Drag a stim or 3 to a hotbar.
4) Target the person with the mind damage and heal health and action to full.
5) Click the /healwound macro button
6) Whoa! Mind damage is healed!
7) Click on a stim you dragged to the hotbar. Whoa health and action healed again!
8) Repeat steps 5-6 till the mind dmg is healed!
God, how I wished they wouldn't have called it mind-damage.
Head-damage would have been better, or Cranium-damage.
pistols get body-shot,
carbines get leg-shot.
rifles get head-shot. But somehow that shot to the head is so special that medics can't cure it.... stupid devs.
