Thread: Master Doc/Master CM how many points left?
I'm working away when it hits me I may need to modify my template.
I'm close to Master Doc, 3 boxes left and mid way through CM. I'd like to go master doc master cm, and have some pistol skill. I dont need artisan, or scouting asI have very good friends that keep me supplied.
I know there are master docs and master cms, but are there points left over for any shooting skills? I so love blasting Rebs, I'd hate to see if go. (I'm 0 0 3 1) in Pistoleer. It looks like I'm gonna be short. D'oh
Wish I were home in game to figure this.
Thanks,
Pepa

you can allocate your skills and see what you will have left to work with.
Combat medic has terrain nav mods.
A master combat medic has as much terrain nav mods as a master scout ![]()
Yes really.
It looks like:
Master CM
Master Doc
Marksman 0-4-0-4
Will leave you with 4 points left-over. Not Enough to get Novice Pistoleer.
LOL you guys are great !
Thanks whew was feeling sad there for a while, i wont be a great shot but then I wont be defense either!
Thanks
Pepa
there's a simple formula for figuring out skill point usage
All novice skills in the 6 starting trees cost 15 points.
All novice skills in elite/hybrid trees cost 6 pts
Master for the novice skills costs 6 pts
Master for the elite/hybrid trees cost 1 point
All full disciplines regardless of tree (novice, elite and hybrid) cost 14 points. For the starting professions they work 2-3-4-5 and for the others they work 5-4-3-2.
Using this formula you can figure out the skill point usage for any combo of professions.
Some facts
Novice trees take 77 pts. Elite/hybrid trees take 63 points
Elite professions like pistoleer, TKA etc that require one discipline as pre-reqs cost 92 pts total (novice marksman, pistol IV and all of pistoleer)
The cost of those professions minus novice (in other words the elite tree and the discipline for the pre-req) is 77 points (pistol IV + pistoleer = 77 pts)
The trees are fairly well balanced and worked out IMO.
