No, they have not said anything about making any changes to the heal system. We did have a rather fun chat amungst the other Corr. This was while pub19 was being tested.
I do not forsee any changes to Doc any time soon. From what I have seen Docs got thier tweak in pub19. Maybe you like what we got, maybe you dont, however, there are simply to many other prof with much larger issues to have the devs make a second pass with healing until those other issues are under control.
Could there be small tweaks that would make the power of healing more equitable with respect to Master vs Dabbler? Yes. Do I think the issue is large enough to put at the top of the devs list of to-do? No.
Honestly, I worry that any dev interation to our healing would result in changes that none of use support.
The funny thing is that the best thing that could happen to doc would be a bonus to CM poison/disease (at least for pvp). Maybe if they let us cure some of the roots/snares/debuffs etc.

It isn't an issue with just Doc, though. It affects Doctor, Medic and CM. I'm not trying to have this looked at as a selfish "Wahh, master our profession or get out of it" kind of thing. It's purely about the Heal Specials not having any effect on the heal. I have a Healer dabbler on another server also.

Are they going to fix // are they even looking at the problem with the heal levels vs. Healing efficiency?
As in,
Bacta Shot
Improved Bacta [insert here]
Advanced Bacta (Master Doctor)
Bacta Toss
Improved Bacta Toss [2xxx CM]
Advanced Bacta Toss/Spray [4xxx CM]
This is not hate against Dabblers.. just against the fact that the heal levels are in name only, and don't follow the paradigm that the rest of the CU follows... Buffs... Attacks...Defenses...States....
If someone can pick up the healing power of 4xxx CM in addition to Doctor whatever for just 0400Medic... there's problems. There should be like some kind of Cap.. based on the level of that Heal that you have.

Happy this was fixed but it now leaves the question how the stat mods affect healing since it sounds like the skills themselves determine the heal just the same as buff duration is dictated by the skill used rather than the stat mod in augmentation the user has.

Sounds to me as though "Advanced" is a *1 multiplier, and the improved and Standard versions are some percentage of that, maybe with a cap.

i just came off of test center and before this change to healing i was healing for around 1300 as a doc4000 dabbler, and on test center with the new changes im healing for around 1100, doesnt really look like you should be cheering in your favor if what is on test center is with the changes inplace.

Um, what's your point? 1100?
I heal for 1800 easily. ![]()

THE point is that you will no longer be able to pick up another 1300+ point Heal for just 5 skill points (Medic x 2 x x ) or an 1100 pt Area heal for 13)

So did myDoc 4000 just get a nerf, merely one pupblish after they were improved. Or did they finally fix the problem of medics healing for the same as my doc heals??

it's not a nerf... it's putting the bang back into the buck you spend to get master doctor.... makes the skill level used for the healing ability help dictate amount healed instead of soley based off Healing Eff.... kinda sad for me... there goes my 1k bacta jab ![]()
but i think this is a change for the best, now they just need to rework where healing falls in CM so this affects it as well ![]()
