Thread: What is the point of Bacta Jab ?
one targets me and does a bactajab with enhancer

we were hunting last nite and i was tanking 12 level 82 NPC's while the rest of my group was killing them off.
just rotated which macro i was using while using mind foods
It's not Bacta Jab vs Bacta Shot.

Bact Jabs qualities are
Bacta Jab has a fast recharge timer.
Bacta Jab is a LOW POWER heal.
These qualities is what makes the Bacta Jab special.
In Solo PVE ans PVP combat cycling Between Bacta Shot (Highpower Mind Cost and Slow Recharge) and Bacta Jab (Low Power and Mind Cost and Fast Recharge) allow for a player to heal themselves constanly in a high damage PVE/PVP encounter. With the Right foods and Buffs You can heal almost indefinitly.
In Group combat Bacta Jab should be used instead of Bacta Shot. (Save Bacta Shots for emergencies.) Bacta Jab heals for a reasonable amount but usually less then the damage output of a typical weapon. That means that whild you are healing your mates with Bacta Jab. And Bacta Infusion, You will be less likely to draw aggro (A Doctors worst nightmare.) Let your groups Melee fighters be tanks. Using Bacta Jab will help ensure you as the doctor will remain alive and can perform your function of healing your group. As a bonus not drawing aggro in a group means you'll get full medical XP. (So Long as you didn't attack the MOB.)
But there in a nutshell is the magic of the Bacta Jab. As you can see. It can be a very valuable tool. It just needs to be stratgically deployed to be used effectivly. Yes it's kind of crazy but being a good doctor now a days is a excerise in stratgey.

Nice Jab, too bad it is not good to use.
Using the basic commands, I can use Jab, Shot, and Infusion in succession all on seperate cool down timers.
Once you use the Jab item, all the timers become locked up. This came up at Fan Fest and the devs claim it is working as intended due to the complications of items in iventory being linked to cool down timers.
Essentially, all enhancers are pointless at this time.
I only hope they make some changes so that at least the buff enhancers become useful and worth crafting.
However, with all the other game breaking issues that are to be fixed I am inclined to believe that enhancers will remain useless and eventually be removed from game.
