Thread: 55 MU Fire Blankets? Possible?

I have an order/request from a customer for 55 MU fire blankets. I never tried to experiement the MU down any, only maxed effectiveness and the rest into charges. Base MU for me was 67, and with the current stock of Rori fungus, I can get it down to 61. I am using 980 OQ Alum and was using 56 (eek) oq/800+ PE Fungus. With those, I was getting 400 base blankets.
I never paid attention to the fungus shifts, as the 15k stack i had has lasted me forever and it worked well enough to extinguish any dot applied to me, but now it is limitiing my Experiment to 57% for 61 MU. THe current shift on Lowca of rori fungus is'nt much better, 300/200 oq/pe. With that, I am hitting 58%..lol.
Can any of you that have used, or have great rori fungas tell me what you can make? I don't want to be chasing a goad that is not reachable, without PERFECT stuff.

It's possible, I own some....but you need to pry that near perfect fungus out of the dead hands of your local CM
Edit: Can't remember the stats, but I think OQ/PE were both above 980....very high DR also
Edit 2: here it is.... OQ980 PE979 DR923
I think other docs have made them with lesser stats, but that's near what it takes.

I just tried and hit 47 uses 297 heal but 57 med use. thats with a 967oq aluminium and a fungus of 836oq 736 pe

The OQ of your fungus is going to have to be in the high 900's, with a PE of at least 650-750 range. High OQ/PE Fungus is the key to an MU55 Fire Blanket.

Yep, it's possible. Just take some really high quality resources.
In Bloodfin I can make 326 effectiveness, 45 uses, 55 Med Use Fire Blankets using 972 OQ Alum and 960 OQ, 972 PE Rori Fungus.

MU55 Fire Blankets on Tempest are one of my Holy Grails. I got into making Fire Blankets relatively late.....which caused me to miss the one spawn of Rori Fungus that would let me make MU55's. Okay, so know I'm jealous of your Rori Fungus and Valcyn's three outstanding Tat Fiber spawns.

what i was trying to show was that the fungus i used yesterday got pretty damn close and that imo, it would only take about 900oq/800pe or 950oq/750pe to make a 55 meduse blanket. I'm guessing here but i don't think its gonna need too much more quality there to make that last 2 points come off.
Without knowing the exact equation its hard to say.

That's about right. As I recall, you need to hit 91 or 92% experimentation, so if you have 990+ oq Aluminum, 850 or 875 average oq/pe fungi is sufficient.

Hahaha, I think I've figured out your strategy! If I spend enough time answering your emails, maybe I'll fall behind in my crafting and leave an opening...

Mmm. That was a happy day -- I bought a bag of assorted resources (sight unseen), and this happened to be among them. As was a bit our server best spawn of Tat tubers, although sadly I lost the whole bag (minus this stack, which I pulled out immediately) due to a couple of server crashes that day... The CSR would have been happy to refund the 1 creditfor whichI sold the bag from one account to the other though...

And I'm seriously jealous of Tempest current Talus avian meat. And since avian meat > all the rest ... You win.

Well the stats on the current Talusian avian meat (Shiesisman DR726 PR934 OQ987) are nice, but it's TALUSIAN avian meat. My partner, An'na-who makes the majority of our buff packs, has been able to get well over a million units of Lokian and Dathomirian avians, but has barely gotten enough to make one buff run of Shiesisman so far. I don't anticipate this changing as the drops on Talusian avian are only slightly better then Tatooinian drops.
If you want to be jealous of a Tempest spawn try Ivein Dathomir Avian Meat DR961 PE977 OQ959-that's our server best. Both An'na and I have gotten 3.85 hour 945 base packs out of it....those are the ones I buff our guildies for free with-it's kind of evil....I tell them the only way they can quit before their buffs run out is if they die first.
