I was told today by another doctor at the village, that a duel/deathblow/res macro was an exploit, is this true?

I very seriously doubt that it's en exploit.

I do think it's a very cheap way of getting xp though, and I don't think people should do it, but I don't think it's an exploit.

According to multiple CSRs ingame, in launchpad, and the posts about it in the forums, it is NOT an exploit.

I don't know who 1-starred you, but you didn't do anything to deserve it. 5-star from me!

/agree and /ditto

Everyone gets their shorts in a bunch about people taking shortcuts to master a skill or profession....aside from our indignation that they didn't have to walk up hill both ways to school with no shoes, what's the real issue? Let's face it-they chose to do it for their own personal reasons....which were right for them and which may not be right for us.

Besides, if they ground a profession or skill they didn't really learn a profession or skill-which is a big part of what the "grind" teaches you.So even if they-for example-becamea Master Doc in a day, it will be weeks or months before they really master the Doc profession.

The main reason I posted my response is that I think....let me stress that I think......in general that there's way too much negativity and speculation on the forums. The sky has been falling and SWG coming to an end for months now. I've seen people posting simple, honest questions or opinions get their liver ripped out for little or no reason....in fact, part of what got my shorts in abunch was I had just seen someone else getripped ruthlessly on another forum forreally no reason that makes sense in thegreater scheme of things.

I was voicing something that had really bothered me....and while that act may have been intrinsically selfish, it was what I felt and it wasn't out of bounds with the trend in the thread. If you feel I was grandstanding, I apologize. But perhaps if folks took a moment to wonder what was going through a poster's head before they responded-and did it fairly-they might grant the possibility that poster might have other motivations then ego or simple hot air.

I tried to grind the normal way by getting my xp from buffing and healing teammates , but the number of trips i made to the village and i hadnt even gotten my first persuasion box... after a month i thought i'd try something new, and the first thing that happen when i started doing it, someone told me it was an exploit and people are reporting for it. So all i wanted to know was if i was doing something wrong. In no way am I doing this as a FOTM FS grinding template, i like all the aspects of doctor, besides crafting (yeeck).

Thanks to all those that posted to help, and not to hinder

The one star was for posting something that has already gotten hundreds of posts in the force-sensitive forums, and been answered many times, which you would have found had you done a search.

Well deserved in my opinion.

Ugg, according to some players, anything that they are too good to do is an exploit. It allows them to be better than you even they are taking forever to achieve their goals.
