Nice, I like the idea of getting rid of leftovers of production but it should probably have the same production cap (1000) and be like a 3-use draft schematic. Would keep it sort of rare like the current recyclers, but also have it still be useful.

Hi,
I had an idea last night when looking at my loads of component leftovers and wondering what to do with it. We all know that factories require the serial number of the component to match the schematic (which makes sence) and we all know that we always have to make more component than we need to cover the experimentation part (failures and schematics). Which results in inevitable leftovers.
But then, you get stuck with a lot of little cretes of components that all have different serial numbers. Of course, you can use them for hand crafting little stuff, but what if there would be a way to re-use them in factories.
So I had an idea for a component recycler. The 'item' itself could be a factory schematic... here's an example :
You put all your advanced solid delivery shells in the ingredient slot of the factory
You insert the appropriate recycler schematic in the factory and then you start it.
The factory would then calculate the average power of all the advanced solid delivery shells and make new cretes of shells that have the averaged power, but with all the same serial number. So if you had 50 items of power A, 25 of power B, 17 of power C, the factory would add 50*A + 25*B + 17*C and divide that by the total items (50+25+17). That averages out all the items and in the end, you would have 92 advanced solid delivery shells, with the average power and a new identical serial number
That way, instead of manually having to craft those, they can be re-used in a new factory schematic.
What would be required to create the recycling schematic, i don't really know, could be anything but I could really use that to save those leftovers I have. I don't want to delete them, but i don't have a need either to manually items out of all that stuff.
Would this by usefull to anyone else than me? Or maybe someone out there has another idea on how to use those component leftovers.

It is a good idea.
I use the leftovers when handcrafting janta buffs or for items I use myself.
